Another question ........... There are 3 levers to right of the seat.
The lever furthest to the right in the pic below (with the FEL hose hanging behind it). It is a control for the rear remote ......... but it has 4 positions ........ we can all them ABCD with A being all the way forward and D all the way rearward.
I have determined (through much aggravation) that position C appears to be a neutral position. This is where I have learned to position the control to hookup and unhook the remotes.
With the FEL attached (as in the pic) you have to move to B or D for the front end loader to be operable. Also, if the disk harrow is attached....... I move to B or D to lower/raise the wheels with the hyd ram on the disc harrow. (I think if I move to A I get the same results as with B)
I cannot tell you right off if the FEL works in the A position or not...... I would have to go try it.
Anyway.......... my question is.......... what would the 4 positions typically be for??? I can see 3-position like the FEL lever. But, what would the 4-positions typically be for???
(The rear remote and lever discussed above are not part of the original equipment and nothing is included in the Ford 5900 manual. It was dealer added equipment in the day. There are no visible labels ...... and there may have never been any. I have operated a few tractors over time but not enough to easily resolve every answer...... particularly regarding hydraulics.)

Yes, I know the FEL control valve is leaking. I have a brown leather boot that is now black to prove it. I did locate a rebuild kit and spent a good bit of time cleaning and rebuilding. Still leaks. I am in the process of replacing the FEL control valve. I just have to finish spec'ing the connections out in hope to use the same connectors, etc. I hope to order a new one by end of week.
....... Then I will work on repairing the power steering (hyd fluid) leak up by the steering wheel under the dash area.
I will probably add some remotes once these existing valves/leaks are repaired.
