We have bars of Irish Spring soap placed where we don't want mices. They seem to work fine.

That's way better than the smell of mothballs IMO. I hate the smell of them.

Another use for Irish Spring is to shave and scatter around hostas to keep away deer.
Deer seem to like Hostas for desert!

Well,, for two seasons, I have hardly needed to move snow,,,
the landscape rake has been plenty

I love the gauge wheels on the rake, I have "threatened" to add those wheels to the blade,,,

IMHO, for our snow, this blade, with the wheels, behind the JD 4105, would be perfection.

Friday, during the evening news, the weatherman explained what the La-Nina should mean to Roanoke.

He showed previous La-Nina years, and the accompanying snow,,
The 2017-18 winter, for us, should result in 4.15" of snow,,,, TOTAL!! :thumbdown:

I assumed you got the wet 2" I received today and I have no snow removal equipment in place. Doh!
Flat land is no biggie but we live on a small mtn.

The best insurance is to have a fully equipped 100 hp tractor with an extendable front plow and an 8 ft rear blower.
That way you are assured that the total snow fall will be less than 6" all winter!
