For some people be it their tolerance or their metabolism or whatever...where a limited amount of a stimulant...anything from alcohol to heroin and even tobacco to a degree...heightens typical human senses and awareness and is said to awaken creativity...the key being a "limited amount" and in most cases its "if a little is good...more is bad" scenario...but some folks have the will to limit when and whatever they use and take advantage of and enjoy the slightly enlightened state without abusing a substance and or their health...

Many of the more prodigious and innovative minds of thinkers, artists, writers etc. belonged to users of both natural and chemical stimulants...

BTW...drug overdoses and related deaths now outnumber all gun related deaths by a 6 to 1 margin...

IMO, a good part of the tax revenue generated from alcohol (and mj) should be allocated to remedy the prescription drug addiction epidemic...

At the rate of opioid and other prescription drug overdose deaths, a solution is at hand...no more abusers.

Only that easy.

When North Carolina pushed for the lottery, they touted that all the money generated would go to the school systems.

Funny enough, years later after the lottery was legalized, the schools still don't seem to be getting any more money.

I've played the "lotto" once in my entire life and only gambled one hand of blackjack when I was in vegas (I won and left). Personally, never saw the thing with gambling for money in my life and for all the dip shites tying up my time at gas stations, while I'm stuck behind them while they buy lotto tickets, I wish they would outlaw the lotto.

You ever notice how most people who win the lotto should never be spending the money on it in the first place? LOL

I don't do booze or dope....In my mind, they both just make your stupider.

That said, it's your body, do what you like with it, the consequences are yours, not mine.

You have obviously never lost a family member due to an addiction to drugs. The power drugs have over some people is evil.

Who ever got the idea they could make perspiration drugs in their own home.

Same can be said of alcohol. Having lost a family member to alcohol...

I believe almost EVERYONE here is missing the point.

Have ANY of the hundreds and thousands of laws currently on the books... stopped people from choosing to 'break those same laws' if they choose?

Making something legal will not MAKE people begin the behavior. There are already hundreds of laws about intoxication and related public activities... why do you think the legality of drug use will make any difference? It has been shown for 20 years, that the illegality of a 'substance' does not deter those who want to use it, FROM using it.

And I disagree with those who are 'against' the auto safety features on vehicles. I understand the sentiment... (we should all be paying attention and never screw up)... but apparently, unlike you... I live in a world of distractions and I welcome EVERY FRICKEN DRIVER OUT THERE to have something which keeps them from cutting me off or rear-ending me. In fact... I look forward to the day when there is reliable 'auto-pilot' on every car. I think there will be a dramatic improvement in efficiency and decrease in automobile related accidents/deaths. I know... I know... you want to control and you want your 'freedom'. So do I... but when I see the 18yo girl pass me on a 2lane road without a center line, no shoulder, and 3ft trees 5 ft off the road... and she is texting. I see that what I 'want' is immaterial to 'what is'. I'd rather her be texting and lost in Twitter while her car safely drives her home, than have her texting and lost in Twitter... and responsible for missing me.
