Dewalt Cordless Grease Gun Deal

We have had the Lithium 12 volt Milwaukee using the shipping battery and a much smaller one off their 12 volt flashlight and even the tiny one will pump out a tube if fully charged. In short I do not think 12,18 or 20 volts makes any difference for general greasing jobs around the place.

I agree going with one that uses the same battery config as other power tools may the the tail that wags the dog as to which brand to buy. I expect our grease gun will last a life time but I know the batteries will not. It looks like the 18v Lithium batteries used by our Kobalt power tools are getting about 3-6 years per battery.

Remember, you are buying into a "platform". Which means you need compatible batteries and chargers, which often cost as much as the bare tool.

That's where I'm at with Ryobi One+. A pair of full size batteries are $100 ($50 each). A drill with battery & charger is around $80. Various tools are $30-100 each with an average of around $50. If you look at the kits & deduct the cost of the battery(s), the average tool cost is noticably less than the battery.

And there is nothing like having a 6 port charger full of batteries so yo can load up several tools to do a job without needing to recharge or fiddle with power.

For what it's worth the combination price match and 10% coupon got me the Lithium battery set for $179. Those 10% coupons TS sends out are for the entire order so the more you buy the more you save. If they would have had the sprayer I've been wanting in stock I would have loaded up one if those too. :)

If you arn't getting the 10% coupons in the mail you should join their rewards program next time you get in. I used my wife's email and phone so she gets the emails. :cool2:

I finally got my 10% veterans discount set up with Lowes and that has really impacted where I shop. Actually for years I never was into getting discounts. When it comes to tools and equipment like the new leaf blow it is good to touch them first vs ordering on line.

Looks like TS is having a black Friday sale on this for 179. That is what I paid with price match and coupon.

Lock-n-lube with that gun is the bomb. If the lock and lube won't reach then I would adapt the fitting so it would, it is worth the effort.

On my B 7800 Kubota I had trouble getting to the fittings at the back end of the lift arms so I did a search and found these at ZerksPlus. 5 pack of 1/8-27 x 1.25 ,$4.95 + shipping. They fit perfect and the price is right.

I managed to get one of the five Dewalt 20V grease gun kits the local TSC had been allocated.
Mine was number three since this morning.
Also picked up a Dewalt cordless hammer gun they had on sale since my old Dewalt corded one
has seen much better days due to heavy use and a cord that is coming apart. So that at least gives me two
Dewalt batteries and chargers. Otherwise I'm almost all Makita.
Well that takes care of my Christmas shopping for me...

Get the MyLowe's card (it's not a credit card - it's used for tracking your purchases and emailing you ads) and be sure you've got your veterans status reflected with it, scanning it automatically applies the military discount and any on-line orders will get you the military discount as well.

All I can say is I'm still using the old fashioned grease gun. I used to haul grain for a guy during harvest. He had one he got thru John Deere and he loved it. I thought he was just "trying to keep up with the jones's" so to speak. He said if I ever owned one I'd never go back to an old fashioned one. I guess they are the in thing now and everybody wants one.
