I have a 2013 F150 HD, and what stood out from that sticker is the difference in tires and PSI. Mine came with 245-75-17E tires with a sticker PSI of 55 front and 60 rear. I see yours are 18C and only 48PSI. Not that mine rides rough, but your tires must give you a softer ride for sure.

We'll see how those "C" rated tires do. May end up with "D" or "E" rated on the next set.

Mine is a 7040 GVR rated 2017. I think the door jamb sticker is even less for the tire psi, maybe 35 psi. I think you will enjoy it, I really like mine. Post up a couple of pics if you get the chance.

The funny thing is only took pictures of the stickers. I was so focused on capacity I forgot about the obligatory truck pictures! Saturday I'll be back at the dealer to hopefully settle and drive it home. I'll take pictures then!

My 2011 7700 GVW door plate says P275-65R18 114T @ 35 PSI.

I've got LT275-65R18E rated @ 50 PSI on it.

You'll love the EB, my recent trip with cattle trailer, one long grade that my 7.3 6-speed was in 5th to the floor to try and keep 70 MPH, the EB held 75 MPH in M4 at part throttle.

How was it coming down that hill and what does the cattle trailer weigh? I had an opportunity to test drive (empty) on a 2.5 mile long hill that changes about 1000 ft in elevation. Some parts are fairly steep and the 10 speed tranny allowed me to select just the right amount of engine braking to go down at the speed I wanted - but again, I was empty.

I could tell that the v6 didn't have as much engine braking as the 5.7 in my Jeep GC. I think long downhill grades are probably the biggest weakness of the EB. That said, I doubt it will be a problem for my towing needs given that my TT and boat are light and I only tow the tractor short distances. The GC never needed brakes coming down grades in the Rocky Mts. Above 45 mph, my TT @ 5k loaded and 60 sq. ft. of frontal area doesn't push the tow vehicle. It acts more like a parachute!

I don't know that I'll be out there anytime soon, but there is a grape vine up the north side of the Big Horn Mts. that I'd love to try going up with the EB & 10 speed. My Jeep w/ 5.7 really struggled. 30 mph in 2nd and couldn't accelerate. Tried 1st and could hold 30 mph at part throttle but revving really high. Needed a gear in between.

The grade I'm talking about are not be like yours, not mountains by means, but loaded 18 wheelers are down to 30-40 MPH going up, might be a mile climb anyways. Suck when trucks try to pass each other......

Trailer is just a smaller bumper pull, about 2500 empty but it's got the extra height roof option. Had maybe 3000lb of stock in it. Brakes on both axles. I don't run in tow/haul cause it's too aggressive in downshifting on downhills, coming down loaded I stayed in 6th with my foot off the gas, didn't run away by any means. Live load jumping around was more of a concern then stopping.

Same hills with my 6000lb travel trailer it holds back fine. Tow/haul will shift it back to 3 or 4 if I let it...

sounds like the ford max tow can haul a decent bit!

I think I'm limited to a 3500 dually. I'm looking for a 25 ft dual wheel flat deck trailer to haul my M7060 with loader, box blade and + 1 extra implement.

The Max Tows are well over 12000lb tow rating now. My older one is the 11,200 rating. I'd be sticking with a dually one ton for what you want to pull. I think if I was pulling a 12,000 camper I'd be in the 3/4 to 1 ton camp.

The Max Tows are well over 12000lb tow rating now. My older one is the 11,200 rating.

After investigating more I found out that the 12,000+ pound tow ratings on F-150 crew cabs (up to 13,200 for crew cab 2wd) are not available with the HD payload package, which maxes out at 11,500 crew cab 4x4 or 11,700 with crew cab 2WD (I've attached link where I got info). So my new truck will not be rated much differently than yours. I find this very strange since the HDPP truck is the only one with enough RAWR and Payload to handle the tongue weight of such a towed load in most situations.

However, any discussion of towing more than 10,000 pounds with an F-150 is purely academic to me. My heaviest trailer has a 10,000 pound max and is a equipment trailer with deck between the wheels - so a low center of gravity. My boat is just 4,000 pounds. My TT is 5,000 loaded for a trip.

mopardude318 - Not sure why you're limited to a 3500 dually for a 25 ft dual wheel flat deck trailer to haul your M7060 with loader, box blade and + 1 extra implement. While I certainly wouldn't recommend an F-150 for this, I'd think a 1-ton single rear wheel truck would do fine. Most have around 4,000 pounds of payload so should handle the tongue weight. If you're planning on bumper pull, and are not planning on a weight distribution system than the F-350 may be your only legal option as I think GM and Ram still require weight distribution if you're towing any real weight.

Of course - if you have no reason not to get the dually, it can only handle it better!

I ran into the same thing when I ordered mine in 2013... HDPP or Max Tow, but you can't have both. I opted for the HDPP since it fit my needs best. I haven't regretted it at all, and would do the same if I was buying one today.

Agree.

I brought the truck home today! 70 miles on it so far with a "lifetime" average of 20.1 mpg on the readout - 60% of that was highway with Cruise set to 70mph. Given that it has the 3.73 gears, elephant mirrors and isn't broken in, I'm very please with MPG empty.

And of course, the obligatory pictures!
