What TWO guns would you want more than any other...

Every time I read something like that, I once again am so glad I married who I did!

If/when I came home with a new gun, my wife likes to see it, and would like to shoot it...

She has been bugging me to buy an AR for a long time, but I'm the one who says "we really don't need it"... lol Same with any other tools I buy...

I'm dealing on another tractor right now, she has no problem with it at all. She knows I buy wisely, so she has no problem at all with what I buy.

She is a 'keeper'.

Now... I have to ask. Why a .17HMRs in the mix? I love the little gun and it can do damage, but shooting a piece of rice as one of my choices would not be on list.

What about it is worth taking 50% on your list?

I haven't looked, but did you get the savage mixed up with Beretta? I'm not familiar with all savage rifles, just figuring is should be a VS or FSV or something else like that with savage LOL I just find it hard to believe that another manufacturer would give a model # to one of their guns when another manufacturer has the same model # ?

I know they have a model 93R17, as I have the same rifle in .22WMR. Don't know about a model 92, though.

Woah! What an idiot! YES, I made the mistake, its a 93R17-TR. haha, off by one digit, I knew it was a ninety-something! LOL. I should know about the Beretta 92fs, (or the M9) my side arm while in the Army! (19K Abrams armor crewman)

I choose the 17HMR because I have that Savage 93R17 as mentioned tricked out with an Apache Trigger kit, with heavy bottom metal plate, glass bedded Boyds ProVarmint stock, and a Weaver V-24 target dot scope. It's a laser beam up to 150 yards. I can pick up that rifle and take small vermin at any time, or just shoot lollipops on a stand. LOL. I have a few thousand rounds of various 17hmr ammo, and the ammo is light should I have to carry a couple thousand rounds. Dunno why, I just love that rifle and would never part with it. I know some of you may think I'm crazy for spending good money for a RIMFIRE!! But Hotdamn, head over to RimFireCentral.com, you just might get hooked!

I LOVE rim fires, I just don't have any love for the 17 HMR!

You can sure tell a lot about folks environment/realities from their choices!

For me it would be simple, a 3006 and a 12 ga pump, gotta keep, the belly full;)

I too have never heard of the triple barrelers. Sawyer Rob what does your weigh with all inserts in?

I could handle nagging. But actually saying I can't buy something with money I earned as long as the basic essentials are met isn't going to work for me. I'm single btw.

Youngster....

Just Found a box with the holster and my other TA50. 1944 Remington Rand manufacture. It was a DCM pistol.

[M60 tanks still had an M3 “Grease Gun” as issue for the driver.]

7 pounds...

Back in my bench rest shooting days, a target like this was pretty common,

Breaks down nicely for traveling by bush plane, car or ?, too,

Like I already said, I've put tons of meat in my freezer with it!

It was built in 1935 and I have owned it since the 80's...

Hopefully you have someone to pass that gun down to. It's worth passing down for numerous reasons:)

Right in there with a regular bolt action.

And impressive grouping!

Is there only one attachment point for the scope?

No, there's two,

The mounts are a German "claw" mount, you can snap it on or off it a few seconds and it AWAYS goes back to being sighted in...

I have two scopes for it, a B&L and the Zeiss pictured.
