I feel better now :D I also did a poor "quick read" of your post and thought you paid that for just the blade. The rubber edge will be forgiving also. Pics when you get into it:thumbsup:

No worries, I’ll post pics after it’s done.
My buddy is also mounting a bale spear to my pallet fork back plate so I will actually have a bale spear lol.

I have to order a spear and he has yet to take measurements, so a few weeks prob.

That little plow is expensive.

I saw someone on the forum make a snow pusher out of their FEL. So following their approach I also tried my hand at making a snow pusher by adding wings to my bucket. Also added some shoes to the front end hoping to help from digging into the gravel drive. Haven't had any snow yet to try it out but it's mounted and I'm waiting for the snow to come. I also run a box blade on the rear.

Usually we attach the braces about 1/3 up the sides of the wings and approximately 1/3 of the bucket width.
For removable 'wings' I like a simple weld tabs on wings and the bucket that I bolt the braces onto for easy seasonal removal.
Tubing (square or round) with slits cut out and drilled to match the tab holes works well.
I actually on mine simply drop 1/2" bolts thru the holes.

If you don't you will shortly simply tear away those wings once loaded up with snow.
\Otherwise your wings look real good.

Ya, this is a grand experiment for me. I am planning to learn many things this winter. What I find that works or doesn't work will help me decide to direction I go in the future.

I was having trouble with my fel digging into my gravel driveway also. This is my first winter with my tractor and thought it was going to be the ultimate snow removal tool with the fel with float and a tph 50" blower. I was quite disappointed to find it digging up my gravel driveway. The more I plowed the more of a mess I made, even the snow blower with the skid shoes was digging in and shooting gravel all over the place. To save my driveway and my frustration, I went back to using my quad. Then i read on here where someone put a piece of pipe on the cutting edge of the bucket. I made one out of a piece of 1.5" tube with a thin strip cut out of it lengthwise and some tabs to bolt it to my cutting edge. I can't believe how such a simple thing can make such a huge difference. I can even clear off my lawn without damaging the grass. I will be making one for the cutting edge on my snow blower also. I believe it would work much better on your bucket than any skid shoes.

I have one on order for my back blade. I have a local shop building it for me. Glad to hear that it works so well.

Traded my 16 F450 for a 17 F450. The difference in cab driving and seating comfort is night and day. The new one is comfortable for hours at a time. The 16, I wanted to get out of it after 15 minutes.

It's a good thing the city of Atlanta has their heavy duty snow equipment ready and waiting for duty...!
