Newbury, I just got in some of those high power magnets to see if I can mount those tractor lights like we discussed. You're right, would not be hard to make your own pretty inexpensively.
My floor magnetic sweeper works great, not HF though, and with metal shavings, being able to dump your load is critical. For junk in the fire pit, I'm sure not, so I like your idea.
Still need to dump it somewhere flat so it's not more than an inch of ash thick though. Not like those magnets are going to pull through a foot of ash. ?? I can see me getting that thing stuck
on my FEL bucket and not being able to pull it off...hmmm.

Don, we are so on the same page, I saw that video two nights ago and remember the cheering crowds, and nice comments below on Youtube. You sort of hold your breath and think please don't hit please don't hit. Very impressive flying. A real goosebump moment.
I'm pretty sure that old song had more to it than some guy's love life.

You could grab the magnets out of scrap hard drives. They are pretty strong as long as you don't heat them. They also have holes in the brackets to hold them to a piece of wood.

By the time winter is done we should have about 4' of snow 'in the bush'/on the ground.

60°F but no rain last 24 hours but is forecast. Would be nice to have another day of sun before it gets here.

Cottage door work needs prep for painting.
Might venture into town and HD to pick up material for next project. Not sure I want to deal with the weekend/holiday crowd.

Let me know your results on a new modem. I want a fast one and one that will have more range than my older apple airport extreme.

I replaced mine with the eero Finally, a Whole Home WiFi System That Works | eero when they first came out. Not cheap, but work well. I use the mesh feature to extend the network to the Tractor shed.

All our cats started with a litter box but migrated to outside. Easy to do. Our Simba uses the doggie door even more than the pups. I too, dislike litter boxes, the smell and the work.

Panels and supplies picked up from The Depot, just need to unload. Just having a little coffee before I tackle that.

There are probably a couple I'll have to trim a little in the table saw, as they were too short/narrow for the guy @ The Depot to do ... but most of them should be good.

First thing will be to get the back put on the metal shelves and see if I can't get some more stuff put away on those.
