Diagnostic adaptor for OBD2

Anybody happen to know what diagnostic adaptor Kioti uses on their NXs? I have a bad injector and want to see if the computer happens to know which one using a Launch Pro Touch.

FWIW, the connector on the tractor looks like a Molex 33472-1201 MX150 12-Pin, female, without the two notch tabs on the outer connector.

Yes it's a standard obd2 connector for the ECM on top of the radiator, the dealer uses the FT4 program on the laptop to read the codes.

Been there , done that with the injectors just a few months ago had to have them replace, also each injector has a unique code on them and the ecm must be programmed with that code for the injector to each cylinder location.

Hillwood and Country, Thank you. In the shop manual they show a weird connecter that supports OBD in the fuse box, but I had forgotten that there is an OBD connecter under the hood. Thank you. Disappointingly, my brand new Launch Touch Pro can talk to just about anything but Kioti or Daedong and worse, Kioti wants $817.00 for one diesel injector. Hopefully I can cross-reference it with something from my NAPA.

I would go ahead and give it a try. Often, the programming is just to input the tolerance (codified) for calculating and recording performance and other operational data but doesn稚 actually affect the machine痴 operation. There are some places out there that rebuild injectors for around $100 ea. Common rail DI痴 have been in cars for over 18 years now, so there痴 quite a bit of DIY info out there.

Is the injector bad or is it just a blown seal? Ie, is the injector not functioning or do you have compression or fuel leak issues?

Cross referencing should work as the injector is a Delphi injector (p/n 28320793, 28387256) with a Delphi engine management system. In fact, looking at the application chart, it looks like the engine management system is shared across Kioti's entire tractor line. Injector coding is covered in sections 3.5.7-8, pages 3-166-7 in the service manual and requires a scanner that can talk to the ECU.

A cross reference chart I found online. DELPHI 28387256 Injector regardless, I need to confirm my engine code (located on top of the valve cover).

Anyway, I do need to find a scanner that can talk to the ECU. I tried looking for FT4 and found nothing on the web.

The complaint is an occasional misfire (but reoccurring enough to be very noticeable) at high rpm only. Smooth running at all other times. I haven't gotten into looking into the problem as it is cold outside, but I first noticed the problem when I was running down the road in high coming from burning my slash piles two days ago.

I will change out my fuel filter the next time I go near my tractor.

Good info to know, mine were replaced under warranty , and I still have a year left before, I have to worry about wrenching on it myself. When I had issues it was throwing a engine light code, and derated the engine along with a high idle speed. I was able to clear the light with a generic obd2 reader a friend of mine had from harbor freight, but it would not read the code, it ran fine after clearing for about 4 hours then threw the code again, that's when I took it in for service. I tried 4-5 different readers and never found one that would show the code. Would be nice to be able to replace the injector without having to program anything , and those prices are way better than dealer for sure.
