Backhoe need to know whats missing on the 3 point

Hi, I am hoping somebody can fill in the blanks, I got a deal on a 2015 Mahindra MAX 26XL with a 26B backhoe installed. I got it for good price because it is missing the parts from the 3 point you remove to install the backhoe. Eventually I would like to remove the backhoe and install other 3 point attachments. Does anyone know exactly what missing parts I need for this?
Pictures would be helpful if possible and greatly appreciated.

without pictures on your end, I guess a parts manual for the 26B might help?....What manufacturer is that backhoe?

Likely you are missing the bottom links, the lift rods for them, and the top link; they will be pricey from Mahindra. Since your tractor is very new, I'd check in the state in which it was sold for a UCC lien filing.

Dimensions of the missing Three Point Hitch parts are probably critical to your Mahindra model.

I agree there is an elevated probability you have a stolen tractor.

More likely it never had the 3 point parts. A lot of tractors are sold with backhoes without the 3 point parts because the original buyer does not envision removing the backhoe and those parts can be expensive plus need to be stored.

Yeah, I came to that conclusion to from what i could find online. I would just like to avoid purchasing parts I don't need.

It strikes me that you should be able to buy generic parts from a local farm store:

Lower Arms
Lift Arms
Top Link
Sway Chains/Turnbuckles

If the rockshaft arms are gone, you may have to. buy OEM or fab some up

I would Go to a Mahindra Dealer, take some pics and measurements and see what you are missing

Look at the website of larger Mahindra dealers and they have a link to the parts list. I looked up your tractor by browsing by series then select your model and look at the chassis page. Drawing on the left and prices on the right of the page-make sure you are sitting down before looking at the pricelist.

I think the cost for the 3 PH for my B26 TLB Kubota is over $1000, your Mahindra is likely a bit cheaper since all Kubota parts are gold plated under that grey paint.:sarcastic: I bought mine used and it came with all the parts for the 3 PH. With that costs, I am not surprised that someone bought the tractor without the 3 PH accessories if all they ever used is the backhoe. Mine have never been on the tractor since I bought it although the previous owner did use them to hook up a bush hog.

All Mahindras come with those parts, per my local dealer. Both my brother's and my Mahindra-different models with different makers-came with backhoes, and had all of the 3-point goodies, as well. One thing I can tell you: before I bought my tractor, I was using my brother's little 25 hp Mahindra built by Mitsubishi, and when he dropped it off he forgot to give me the 3-point stuff. A "kit" with all of that was nearly a grand!

And that's a good thing! Some folks sell their tractors, and keep making the payments, and nobody is the wiser. But some stop paying, or are already behind, and don't pay off the finance company; if they sell it at that point, they are essentially selling something that doesn't belong to them.
I wish you well in finding those parts; at the least, I'd see if I could get measurements from another tractor, as I could likely fabricate those for less than what Mahindra wants (home of the $2K finish mower, and $1100 add-on bucket grapple!)

It may be possible for you to get the name of the original owner from the lease company. He might make you a good deal on the parts.

The only 3 pt components that need to be removed to attach the backhoe are the top link and the lift rods. If the lower link arms are attached there is a piece that goes with the draw bar that the link arms attach to to hold them in place with the backhoe on. The arms are lowered, attach to the draw bar, and remain underneath the backhoe. They do not need to be removed from the tractor for backhoe installation if you have the drawbar parts.

If you have 0 3 pt components, you need the lower link arms, lift rods, upper link, draw bar with the arm holder. I'll try to get some pic's soon. In the meantime, look for you tube videos for backhoe installation and removal for the Max 26xl, you can see some of the components.

I forgot the turnbuckle sway adjusters for the lower link arms. There are also little pin/spring clips that attach to them to relocate them when the backhoe is attached. Gonna need those also.
