Randy, I saw on the CocoRaHS weather reporting that Chincoteague had 13 inches, so you guys got hit the most.

Drew, you may never see another snow/temps like this...plus it will likely melt off your drive Monday. I bet your RAM would like to go 4 wheeling in the snow. :)

Just looked at the weather at the trail in the Blue Ridge Mountains where I had wanted to go... -3 with a high of 6 and 45 MPH winds.

Below 0 the next two nights.
Drew, get a rubber edge for your blade or just go spend some more of that fortune on a broom. LOL

I had to clean off my heat pump yesterday, sounded funny and short cycling.Near completely buried and packed with snow.

Good Morning!!!! 38F @ 3:30AM. Rain. High 54F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a half an inch.

A little skiff of rain came through a bit ago and woke me up, and now I'm having trouble getting back to sleep. This head cold is still hanging on, but seems to be getting a little better. Got first homeowner's insurance quote from a local independent agent yesterday, and it's 250% higher than I'm paying now. The office girl that prepared the quote was also trying to rush me into signing up immediately, leaving me with an uncomfortable feeling about that business. Fortunately I've got plenty of time to get other quotes. The local paper ran a story about insurance companies declining to renew policies in the California counties that have had the fires, and some 10,000 homeowners are in the same boat I am. In reality, I bet the number is far higher than that.

Hope you can keep healing and get by without any more surgery, Buckeye. But take it easy slinging those pellets around, OK?

Hope you folks dealing with the cold and snow can take it easy and not try to do too much at once. Maybe look at the weather report for the next few days and see if it'll melt on its own. Much of the eastern seaboard will be thawing out early in the new week. Not so much in Maine, though, but the cold will still ease up a little for you.

TGIF gang. Like Thomas sez, it's been a long one.

Got up couple hours earlier plow driveway clean steps and path,by the feel and sounds wind I'll be doing it again after work.

I did my work last night after work...waste of time since the wind blew it back across the drive. Fortunately, as I'd written in an earlier post...we didn't get much...3 inches or so.
I was concerned about the tractor starting...even with the block heater. It's been so cold, I expected the battery to be weak...but my fears were unfounded...the Deere started right up!

Morning folks!

-14 this morning and it feels like it! Getting the wood stove cranked back up for the day. A little extra Bailey's in the coffee is called for I think.

Ordered my tractor before xmas and still patiently waiting for delivery. For once, I hope it doesn't come today as I don't want to be outside to put it in the barn. :)

11 this morning high of 20 maybe wind still howling warm up next week but I'm afraid only for a short while then cold again. The storm track will remain across the Deep South east coast so I would not be surprised to see more snow/ice for areas that do not normally see such things

Prayers for Riptides Buckeyefarmer Toppop Ed and other silent requests

Drinking second cup of coffee. -10 with clear skies this morning. Heading to 7° with mostly sunny skies. Wife and I got all the christmas decorations down and packed away in storage bins. Need to get them out to barn. But not today. No plans other than stay inside out of the cold today.
Buckeye, good news.
Drew, put a piece of PVC on the FEL bucket edge. Does a good job and does not mark drive. Check out the guy that used a 50" VIZIO box to move snow.
Ed, get some rest, hope your wifes feels better soon.
Randy, hope the flu stays away.
ETWoods, good plan. Unless you can talk deliver person to put tractor away in barn for you.
Good Morning All.
