Hey

I have been searching everywhere for looking to figure out what type of Quick connector is used.

I have seen in a few posts that it is ISO 7241-1 Series B Quick Disconnects. Is that the same as NPTF?

What is the difference between the ball style and the flat pointed one?

Thanks for your help

To the TBN forum Chuck. Glad that you joined and you came to the right place to get answers.

I can't answer that but I am sure someone on here will be able to.

Lots of quick coupler interchanges on the internet. I suspect there is no difference in ball verses needle or what ever you call it. I would compare the types between manufacturers, if they work they work. I do not think a low pressure will connect to a high pressure. At least I hope not.

Hey Ehanson

The Female couplers for the rear remotes on current KIOTI Tractors are 1/2" ISO 7241-1A Couplers, which in the 1/2" size only, are compatible with ISO 5675-P Ag Couplers.. In other words, the 1/2" Pioneer 5675 Couplers are compatible in the 1/2" Size. These are common couplers, available at most farm stores. Not sure though if what you have pictured are original to the tractor, or you have an older model. All the current models use Poppet couplers, not the ball couplers as shown in your picture. Some of the older KIOTI models had 3/8" ISO 5675 Ball couplers as your picture shows.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Peter315 and MichiganIron between the size chart and your explanation I'm slowly learning,

So to recap...
1) Poppet couples NEW, Ball couples OLD but both with will work.

2) 1/2 ISO 7241-1A and ISO 5675 Ag are compatible. So what is the NPTF mean that is on alot of the couplers.

From what you both has explained I think 1/2 in. NPT Hydraulic Quick Coupler Tip is the Stucchi brand that is compatible?? or am I still not getting it

Thanks in advance

NPTF = National pipe tapered (thread) Female

It’s the threads in the end of the coupler were the hose will attach.

NPTF Refers to Nation Pipe Thread Female, which is the type of thread in the body of the coupler. The easiest way to cross reference the coupler size and style is by taking the numbers off the sleeve of the female coupler, and either post them on this forum or google them. The numbers (and letters) will identify the coupler size and type, and will help you cross reference them to other manufacturers.

NPTF does not refer to the coupler type or size. That is just a hydraulic thread designation.

The pictures in your post are not ISO 7241-1B couplers. 1B couplers have a long lead section on the male tip.

Thanks for your help

The flat pointed one provides a little more flow, maybe some other advantages. Unless you are running a hydraulic motor it likely will not mater.
