I had the opportunity to meet many big name acts in person and socialize with them for a few minutes up to a few hours. I'll have to say that most of the big name music acts were really nice folks. However, some were absolutely not! A couple standouts... the group YES just turned their noses up and got in their rides.

I was a radio DJ back in my younger years and got to meet a number of artists at station events. As you said most of them are decent enough folks who actually appreciate their fans and the radio people who played their records. The Spinners and Alice Cooper are a couple that immediately come to mind. Yeah, there were the jerks too.

I do wish that performers would restrain from using their performances as opportunities for political rants.

Your point is well taken; perhaps it should be moved to the FP forum. I have temporary lapses because I spend 90% of my computer time on that forum. As for Dilly Dilly, that term is memorialized in my brain, preceded by the words "Lavender Blue-".

Funny you should mention Alice Cooper, when attending college in Phoenix years ago a friend told me he recognized him sitting by himself in a small bar and struck up a conversation with him- thought he seemed like a really nice guy / family man. . Another day i ended up going to the same bar with my friend, sure enough there was Alice Cooper sitting with a couple of his friends.

That there was anything wrong with how it was handled? A few things but nothing criminal. That is exaqctly what ..7? i think it was Congrestional investigations found.
