I spent several years down in West Texas saw several of them, only had one get me, had crawled under a sulfur skid to repair a pneumatic line and was just about finished when something nailed me a couple of times couldn't reach it and by the time I got out were I could stand up and see what the heck was going on the dam*ned thing had nailed me a half a dozen times. I was his last victim.

8 this morning and has made it to 35 so far.

Roads are slick today. The ice is melting and they’re slicker than yesterday. Schools have been closed here since Thursday last week. They originally closed for the flu, then snow has kept them closed since. Should go back Monday. Highs over the weekend are supposed to be in the 50’s. Our second January thaw.

At doctor getting allergy shots. Then baby set as wife has class at 5. This class is 6/10 for her masters. Maybe she’ll finish this year and get her pay raise.

I change oil with the oil lights on these newer vehicles. Mine all say they have viscosity sensors in the engine. My truck with 180,000 miles uses a quart of oil every oil change. Wife’s Tahoe with 110,000 miles uses about half a quart every oil change. Oil changes average around 5,000 miles for our driving habits.

I can't begin to say how much I love my tractor....why the heck didn't I buy this thing sooner! Got my buckets hooks put on and now my quick hitch. Been plowing the drive a bit and just dug out the snow mound in front of the roads mailbox collection. Just got off of it and already want to go back out there and goof off!

Putting that quick hitch on sure taught me a lot about the many adjustments with the 3 point....and that I have more to learn. :)

Every time I use the tractor I get just a bit better with the controlling the fel and back blade. Before long I might actually look like I know what the heck I am doing. Either way, I'm going to have some fun in the process.

Can稚 speak for your area Drew but, in Texas, our Texas Agri-Life agents are a great resource. Make time to get to know the extension agent near you.

You should talk to the extension service guys. 300 lbs per acre sounds like a lot. When I was growing corn, the most I ever put on was 200lbs, and corn is a heavy feeder. Up here it痴 lime that gets the most tonnage. Sometimes the recommendation is for tons per acre.

38° now , feels like summer, well at least early spring.
Went to work, after 4 hrs the chair hurt too much, so beat the rush home.

My major accomplishment, 350,000 on my 2005 pilot. Happened just before i crossed over I95 on the way home. Warmer down at work also.
