Randy, have you called your local dealers to ask about used equipment? Often their websites are not up to date.

If you could buy a used tractor from a reputable dealer, your experience might improve. I've now done that twice and it's worked out well;
the second Massey has had its share of 20 year old hiccups. But the dealer was straight with me.
The owner of the Super A, a part time preacher no less, said the tractor was in great condition, as it sat there with almost no transmission oil in it and a totally dry oil bath air cleaner. And a gas tank clogged with rust. Unless you get lucky, I'd rather buy from a dealer.

Makes my visits there for parts really expensive...several times now those Masseys have called to me, take me home, take me home.
Just like a puppy. And I did. Now you need to get a good one to take home. And enjoy. And get into some Springtime projects where the machine does the work not you. Maybe you should call Messicks, they ship...or someone like them.

A man with land and no tractor, situation needs to be rectified! Can't wait to see pic of Toppop smiling away digging up something.

Happy B-Day to Mrs. Buppies.

44 out this AM, will go into the 60's again.

Drug run day today. LOL.

The birds were really enjoying themselves yesterday. Gorging on the feeders and lots of them in the bird baths. Seems like they all showed up here to party and enjoy the warmer weather. First Blue Jay showed up too.

Have a great day all. Be safe.

Morning to all;
30 out this morning supposed to get to 40 today with a few showers then 50 tomorrow with rain, so our second January thaw to pull the frost out then normal to a bit above the rest of the month.

Perhaps, when you replace your cable, you might investigate the synthetic winch line available now.

Good idea! I did manage to put the winch into the vice and hacksaw one strand of the cable, and then spent some time unwinding the jammed up cable - what a job!

Need a new cable now - will definitely check out synthetic.

Tomorrow marks the 50th Anniversary of North Koreaç—´ illegal seizure of the Pueblo and capture of its crew in International waters. The crew was held captive for 11 months. One crew member died from injuries suffered when they were attacked.

How the seizure of a US spy ship by North Korea nearly sparked nuclear war

If things go bad, with N. Korea, I hope our team è¿*emembers the Pueblo and how badly the crew was treated.

I had just arrived in SE Asia when this occurred.

I remember it well, I was in high school, I didn稚 get in that neighborhood until 3 years later.

Good morning everyone.

Happy Birthday Mrs. Buppies I wish you many more in health and with happiness.

The freezing rain and frizzle changed over to liquid rain ~6AM. Temperature now 34F with drizzle and fog. May have had "frog" earlier. It is expected to reach the high 30F's today and the NWS has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for tonight/tomorrow AM for freezing rain/mixed precipitation.

Daugen- Nice head of hair you had. I need to get my shearing soon according to She Who Must Be Obeyed. I finally found a real barbershop that gives haircuts not some freaking fancy stylist. I am too old and "weathered" to even want to consider having my few hairs "styled." I am really to take on the appearances of a NE Hill Ape.:cool: That sauce looks and reads to be awesome good eats. I can almost smell it. We do similarly with store bought stuff added to homemade sauces and stocks.

Buppies- I am sorry to read about your shoulder(s). Uncharacteristically the NWS too has mentioned the potential for a late end of month storm. It is really early for them to post that far in advance in their shift discussions. I was going to take you to task about the P/T, but then I remembered some of my noncompliant crazinesses.

I got my little tractor running so I can keep my driveway dressed out, but it doesn’t have a bucket. I’ve got a bunch of low spots in my back yard where stumps have rotted and the septic system has settled some. I should have kept that Simplicity 4042 I had, but alas...

Randy- I think about that kid who ended up dying from mistreatment in that North Korean prison. No one should have to die for petty theft, but the crime took place in NK where accepted civil standards do not seem to apply.

Makes me appreciate what we have here.

My + thoughts, prayers, and best wishes for all; especially those in need.

We are the beacon, without the USA, the world would soon deteriorate into slime pit. Left alone, one bad apple will ruin a box of fifty if left to.
