Tried a mac at work. I couldnt get used to mac window controls being on left instead of right side. Can that be changed?

In System Preferences, Dock:

Yep! I'm still using two laptops from 2011, but my main machine is a MacBook Pro I purchased new in December 2016. If past trends continue, I won't have to replace the old ones for a few more years yet, and the new one'll go almost another ten. How many PCs do most of you go through in ten years?
I have 2 PC's. Desktop is a windows 7 2010. Notebook is a Windows 10. Bought as a Windows 8 in 2013. I expect the desktop to last until 2020 when support for Windows 7 goes away.
If the way my iPad works is a example of how a Mac works. There will not be any Macs in my future.

My current PC is almost 6 years old and cost me $349 on close out at Best Buy. For what a Mac cost I’ve got 12-15 year of PCs.
My son is a VP of something at 3Phoenix, has been with General Dynamics as well as a couple of other defense contractors, his previous title was systems engineer. He designs and builds hardware, software, writes code, programs and physically builds things like the radar that detects periscopes in the wake of an aircraft carrier.
My point is he knows computers, he uses both PC and Mac, desktop and laptop. Plus the myriad of tablets he has that include both Mac and windows machines, he says there is no right answer in which is best.
So I guess what’s best for you is the right answer. Since I’m typing this on my iPhone, sitting beside my PC machine and looking at my iPad, I’d have to agree!

I started having tail light issues on my 6.5’ x 12’ Utility trailers recently so, decided to scrap the incandescent (1157) lights and replace them and center 3 Light fixture with LED. I found some Partsam submersible lights on Amazon.

Amazon.com: Partsam 2pc Submersible Square Red White LED Stop Turn Tail License Brake Trailer Light kit Sealed 12V for Camper Truck RV Boat Snowmobile Under 8" Inch Marine: Automotive

Amazon.com: Partsam Red Clearance ID BAR Marker Light 3 Light 9 LED Trailer Sealed Stainless Steel: Automotive

Stripped wires, created a good mechanical connections, and soldered joints. Then two layers of heat shrink tubing over each splice.

Had to drill New mounting holes for the center light.

The new lights are significantly brighter than old incandescent ones.

Sorry for crappy pictures. It’s hard to get good picture in the bright sunshine.

Should have done that Sunday while it was still overcast.

Big improvement for $30 and hour of labor.

I had a PC for a long time. But once you get a Mac there is no going back. Am I right Mac users?

I/We switched to Macs. There are differences with a PC and I had (still have) some challenges with different applications, but we will probably stay with Macs. I do have a Windows 10 PC with my "drone" stuff on it.

RoyJackson- Good luck with the PSA. You may not want the "other" test, but it is pretty reliable. PSA tests are worthless for me, so I "have to" get the other  I need to find a female doctor- their finger(s) are generally "smaller":wink:.

22F (AccuWeatherPro) and overcast this AM. It looks and feels like it's going to snow. Coastal MA should see some accumulating snow with this system not I. I see a few bouts with nuisance snow this week and I am not worrying about next week (yet).

When I was an attendant I had one female eloping (later to become a patient of mine) break out wearing a double "johnny" (for her dignity). She looked like she was trailing two drag chutes as she ran down "Hospital Hill." She stole some woman's clothing hanging on a clothes line and made it dressed and safely home 30 miles away. The woman whose clothes were stolen was the Hospital Superintendent's wife:eek:

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for all.

I hope that everyone has a good day or at least a manageable one.

Does anyone have a PC notebook Older than 10 years old that they use as their primary computer?

Yes, I have a one with Windows XP, it complains about license support, and when I get annoyed enough I reboot Linux Mint. I have one game on it that is still current these days, after 10 plus years.

Lights look good Rick. Whew, took me 3 pages to catch up...

Drew, the Pulse charger is on all the time. The more you use the Charger the more it Desulfates.
thanks, though someone else asked...;) but you remember my picture. It's more work for sure to hook this thing up every day, since I use
my golf cart almost every day. Seat has to come off, then alligator clips on. Next morning, repeat. Lot easier with oem plug. Now if I could put an oem
plug on this charger, now we're talking...
It took all night into 9am next morning for my charge light to go solid. 50 watts isn't a lot of power. I bet that oem buzz box sucks up a lot more than that.

Yukky morning, more lingering rain, snow not very far North of here.
I have to go down and load the Gravely garden tractor with attached dead DR tiller behind it on my trailer and haul it to downtown Kubota dealer.
Too cold for me to do this, no place big enough with heat. Maybe next winter...
Plus they said they have time to do it and it is likely only one hour of labor.

37 degrees out and raining. I'm just trying to wait this mess out before I leave. Time to put some layers back on.
Or I could suck it up and put on a rainsuit and stop whining and just do it now.
Nothing like a little cold drizzle down the back of your neck to wake you up...
When it's time to go it's time to go

My battery saver has been on - blinking yellow- for 15 hours and still blinking. It was only down one pip. In the future I’ll use the Yamaha charger to charge and the BS to maintain.

Kind of like the difference between a pc and a Mac.

Did you get the cord with rings on it with your charger. That’s what I use. Just lift the seat and plug in. No more corrosion with this charger.
