Yea the correct size is 16x6, hard to find tractor tires to fit 15x6. Right now my issue is dealing with these spindle bushings, they were worn pretty good and had some slop in them. I'm not finding anything in the size I need. This is in fact an industrial front end and everything is a little bit beefier and I'm not finding the required parts to make a suitable repair. I did find new wheel bearings and also spindle thrust bearings from the local bearing shop. They should be here Thursday. I'm thinking of making the spindle bushings out of bronze, but I know they will wear faster, and my spindle does have light wear grooves where the bearing surface wore away. Sure would be nice to know a guy with a lathe!

Almost reminds me of the old king pin bushings used on big trucks. Agree with you that someone with a lathe can fix you up.

Unless you are putting a lot of use on that tractor it should be fine with bronze bushings.

I've had king pins resurfaced and reground...

The resurfacing was $80 a shaft 20 years ago... spray metal on and grind... grinding under size to fit oversize bushings would be less expense.

Working with a lot of old cars you would be surprised at just how worn these parts can be without causing a problem and then only when going over something irregular at speed causes a shimmy...

Never a problem at low speed.

I don't like that design. Old Fords were that way too. Once you wear out the vertical pin/shaft, you are pretty much screwed. But, as ultrarunner described, there are ways to overcome it. Just gonna take some "shopping" to find a machine shop that will work with you.

Okay so after a few sleepless nights of online parts searching and calling around, it turns out that AllStateAgParts has everything I need.

My industrial 550 is exactly the same as the White 2-44.

TractorData.com White 2-44 industrial tractor photos information

New spindles are available, but I think I can emory cloth mine up to be decent.

Spindle - RH/LH | Oliver Super 55 | White 2-44 | 158537A | 161387A

Here's the grease seal for the hub:

Seal | Deutz | Oliver | Minneapolis Moline | White | 163101A | 9130 | 9150 | 9170 | 9190 | Super 55 | 62 | 77 | 78 | 88 | 770 | 880 | 1550 | 1555 | 1600 | 1650 | 1655 | 1750 | 1755 | 1850 | 1855 | 1870 | 1950 | 1950T | 1955 | G900 | G950 | G955 | G10

And the spindle bushings are for the larger tractors... I called for the specs on that bushing since they didn't list it on their site. 1.5" ID 1.75" OD and 1.5" length

Seal | Deutz | Oliver | Minneapolis Moline | White | 163101A | 9130 | 9150 | 9170 | 9190 | Super 55 | 62 | 77 | 78 | 88 | 770 | 880 | 1550 | 1555 | 1600 | 1650 | 1655 | 1750 | 1755 | 1850 | 1855 | 1870 | 1950 | 1950T | 1955 | G900 | G950 | G955 | G10

Everything should be here friday! I'll let ya know how it goes. :)

Learning and recording the equivalents of various tractor models is worth its weight in gold.

Yep, I record all these things in the Owner's manual or Service manual.
