How to retire at 55 instead of 65 or 70.

I started my business when I was 18.. I will be retired by 55 which is approaching fast. .. We have worked 6.. sometimes 7 days a week all these years and only in the past few years really took vacations. 10 years ago I cashed out what little I had invested in stocks and 401 to buy land. ..best move I ever made.

If you have your health, you have your wealth.

Early retirement is predicated on so many factors spread out over a lifetime. There is a high correlation between health and wealth. Show me a healthy 80 year old and I will show you a financially secure person as well.

I'm an Actuary, I find correlations in everything.

I read the millionaire next door years ago. 3 things that stuck with me are, 1 marriage: they had the same goals from the get go. 2 once they got to a fair standard of living, I think out was like $30k income they never spent any more than that, same house, cars, etc. for years. 3 they were all seem employed.

Now self employment isn't for everyone but the other 2 cam make you darn rich.

The playing the lottery for retirement is the plan to fail 100,000,000 times to one. Playing one ticket is entertainment. Buying multiple tickets is merely paying the stupid tax.
