33* for the low this morning, it made it up to the low 50's yesterday. Today is going to be in the mid 40' partly cloudy with the wind 20-25. It doesn't look we are going to get any snow for next week. But they still show the wind.

Eric... That looks about right for Feet per second. I only shot it ones over a chronograph and it showed just under 1300 fps. The only difference from what you have put in the program, is the bullet diameter is .459 and barrel length is 34 inches.
I haven't seen any evidence of tumbling in any of my loads. I was at a shot one time and there was a guy there that had just started getting into this kink of shooting. I'm not sure how he loaded the bullets but you could hear them go down range. Because of the way they were tumbling.
I like your tea kettles. I drink 2-3 cups a day.

Not much planned for today, I'll go out and see what I can get into.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.
CWB.

One ray of sunshine did fall into my shop yesterday when I found a long lost can of Brownells Flute Juice tapping compound, something I don't use much of but that works very well. It had "disappeared" shortly after the move up here, but I'd limped on with the little dispenser bottle until it emptied last year. I'd searched at least a dozen times for it with no luck. Yesterday I tried to reassemble a couple of parts that had been off to the chrome platers, and found that the plating prevented them from going back together. So I was looking for some silicon carbide powder to make up a batch of grinding paste. I keep that on the same shelf as the Flute Juice, and the first can I grabbed to look at was the Juice. :confused2: Either it's been there all along, or it had phased back in from that other parallel universe in which it's been hiding. The rest of the day's quota of good luck was used up when I also managed to find the empty dispensing bottle, and then got it filled without spilling too much of the pudding like stuff. I had to turn down the chrome plated shaft to get the two parts to fit, which is why I'd provided written instructions to the plater that the shaft NOT be plated to begin with. Wonder why I have second thoughts about using them again.

Patience of Job, indeed. I guess if I never tried to do anything I wouldn't need any patience at all. But then what fun would that be?

Sitting here in San Francisco airport awaiting flight home. Only 900 posts to get caught up. Can’t wait to get home and get over this crud it seems most of us have been fighting.

30°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 55° today. Bottom falls out again over night tonight, and we'll be frozen and miserable for the weekend.

Not a Popping Johnny, but funny nonetheless:

That would keep me awake. :D

Went out and plowed about 10” of snow. That’s because I have not done it since Monday. Radar shows we will get a few more hours of.

Almost home David, you are champing at the bit...
Good luck catching up...I can tell you no huge changes since you went on walkabout.

Great fun at Garden Club this morning. Nice to see other guys there, even though
we might have different "persuasions". Nice guys, met them for lunch with another garden club member, someone I actually knew,
at the local beanery/grill around the corner from my house.
She's a founding member I think of the local country club and I was a little surprised to see her "out in the sticks".
Speaker today spends half her year at her home in France and did a presentation on two small undiscovered public
French gardens. Lots of topiary.

headed outside to run the pull behind rototiller with the brand new engine over the entire garden, if raising it all the way (remote electric is really nice)
will take of the tops of my humps. Ten hour oil change recommendation for break in oil

last time I took the Super A out it didn't smoke as much. It has some issues, maybe just age, that I have no idea what they are. You feel like you are going along at just above idle and it torques its way through it. Never slowed down, growled a bit, but all normal I'm working noises.
But I'm a nonsmoker and so shall be my tractors... until it gets worse, it will just be part of the aging charm. Most guys I think just drive them up and down the roads, paint them, and take them on parades. I'm actually working the old girl. Now I did take extra time to oil a number of parts this time, and perhaps i was rewarded by less smoke.
Wish it worked that way...

58 degrees in full sun and light wind. Marvelous time to be outside.
