You've seen 13k pics of one telehandler, you've seen them all.

I never cloud hosted pics cause of bandwidth, and nothing is free. I have over 100k pics, i keep them backed up on multiple drives.

I bought a drone a year ago. I shoot a lot of video. Man,,,, that takes up a lot of space!!!!!

As to Clouds, aren't they just as vulnerable to failure as any other storage device. After all,,,, your stuff is still stored on a device somewhere. And wouldn't it be susceptible to pirating? :confused3:

IF you really want to store something that "won't crash", then you need to burn it on a disc...

Having a hard copy, is the only way...

Test to see if my uploaded picture count increases when posting a picture that has been posted before.

Using a picture from my computer that shows how small the V417 is. That bale is 5'3" long and 6' diameter:

Nothing we can do about the photo bucket files. Fortunately, there are more than 400,000 attachments have been uploaded directly to TBN so most photos will always be here. That includes all 13,610 uploaded by Xfaxman. :laughing::drink:

But 13k + photos but they all arent unique.

I though there is no way I have uploaded 1700+ unique photos. :confused2:

Guess that must also meant that I have 1717 unique photos too? Heck I was thinking more like 300-400 with many repeats

I don't believe that the forum software de-duplicates pictures so that would be 13000 uploaded pictures. If you uploaded the same picture twice it would count as two pictures. If instead of uploading it twice you reused it in another post then it would not count as two pictures.

How do you reuse it?

I don't see the search attachments feature now in "Manage Attachments".

"Choose File" goes right to my "4TBN" folder" where I copy the pictures that I want to upload.

Not exactly. Sure, there's a chance some hacker somewhere could roast an entire system, composed of multiple server farms located in multiple places around the globe. The chance is small, but the risk is real. As for hardware failure, there are hundreds and hundreds of drives storing pieces of your one picture. If any of those drives fail, there is parity data on other drives that immediately re-write the missing data to other drives...

"Parity computations are used in RAID drive arrays for fault tolerance by calculating the data in two drives and storing the results on a third. The parity is computed by XOR'ing a bit from drive 1 with a bit from drive 2 and storing the result on drive 3 (to learn about XOR, see OR)."
