Any additive that contains Methyl or Ethyl Alcohol will ruined a DI gasoline or diesel injection system. The only "safe" de-icer" is IPA isopropyl Alcohol, in small doses.

Had to get a jug and read the label. Not sure what Power Service uses. I guess it really doesn't matter to me. I have 5 diesel engines and they all drink it.

Sorry, I'm not smart enough to rotate the pic.

I've said it on this forum before and I'll say it again, Power Service ate one of my injection pumps...

It goes below 0F here every winter and I don't use any witch craft products, I just buy good fuel in the first place and I don't have any fuel problems at all!

I agree 110%.

Put diesel in your fuel tank nothing more. Buy good winter fuel for winter. It has been -21 here this winter and I致e had no problem with my tractor. Winter fuel is already cut and ready for your localized temps, no need to put more crap in it!

That's odd that you know certainly that Power Service ate an injection pump but yet my 18 year old 240K mile truck has drank it every year with no problems. :confused3:
"I" didn't know, but my injection pump guy opened it up, first thing he said was, "you been using power service".

SO, a guy that rebuilds pumps for living knew!!

No argument here. Just telling you that's not true in my locale. My Son works for a Tow Service. When temps get close to zero and/or below 95% of their business is gelled diesels. An Interstate hiway runs thru our County. A sizable percentage of those tows are trucks off that hiway. So obviously it's not just my little piece of Missouri that is selling fuel that's not properly treated.

Coldest it had got here this winter so far is, -4F...

I put some fuel in a jar and had it outside in that -4 and it never clouded a bit...

NO witch craft needed!

That's what the "pump guy" here says but he says "Howell's". :)
