Well if it isn't there are a lot of full time farmers out there, who have never even used "on road" diesel who will be be in big trouble.

Think about it guys; are we that cityboy of a mindset? My FIL, who runs 100s of gallons a year through his tractors, would never even think about putting anything but off-road diesel in anything he owns that is diesel.

That’s still a small operation. Bigger operations would burn that much fuel in a day. I’m not sure where stupidity like this gets started.

Yes, true, my estimation is probably way off. He has two tanks that look about 20' long by 6' high and he did farm about 1,200 acres so he probably burned 100s a day; still not huge. He is now down to a couple hundred; semi retired.

Most of the farmers around here have diesel tanks in the back of their trucks all with off-road diesel

Its clear to me that this thread was started about the use of red dye fuel being safe to use on Tier 4 tractor and some turned it into a legality of using off road diesel in over the road vehicles.

its illegal unless your a FARMER!! FARMER!!
