Why not put the date in your photos?

I need names and places stamped on my photos. If its been more then a year, I will probably not remember where it was taken, or who was in the picture.

I hear ya, especially if it was taken away from home.

For me, it's a flip phone and a separate camera. I could take a flip phone pic if need be but there's never been a need.

Same here. Curiously, how do you get a picture out of a flip phone? My computer knows there's a device there, but it can't access anything in it. I tried searching for drivers, but no luck.

You email it to your email address, open it and then save it. Piece of cake.

Hmm - two things I have no knowledge of. Taking pics with my flip phone and sending emails with same. No problemo - I have two digital cameras and three separate photo massaging software programs on this computer. I can make Eddies pig look like a Chinese geisha girl and attach it to an email to the King of Norway. Don't need no stinkin' flip phone..........

Wow, that's cool! Any Android version available of your app?

I get a lot of requests for Android and would really like to serve those customers, but it's a bit more expensive to develop and support due to a wider range of devices and specs. So it would be a little bit too much time/cost for a small one-man business to take on. Would have made more sense if I had jumped on it 10 years ago, but nowadays it's a lot harder to be successful with a new app.

I'll second that. My siblings and I spent a few hours yesterday looking through old pictures or folks had and trying to figure out who people were, where and when.

I only WISH my old digital 4MB camera took as good pictures as my ultra-cheap phone camera! Neither have a date stamp feature. And yes, dating photos is an excellent idea, especially after some time has passed.

So, the question begs - is it time for a better camera, or a better phone, with a time stamp.

My iPhone 7 camera is 12 megapixels. Unless you’re trying to be a photographer ( maybe that’s spelled right) or just want another expensive hobby that’s good enough.

I noticed that picture quality took a huge leap forward with iPhone 7. Really, every new generation phone camera gets better, but iPhone 7 was so good it replaced my digital SLR. I don’t see the need to pull out that good SLR camera anymore.

I put the subject and full date as the file name on the picture. A picture is a file you know.

How do you put the date on the pic itself? In the past, if I wanted to know the date of a picture, I would just look at the original file on my PC; it shows when it was created (or taken) not the date it was put on the PC. I don't think the created date is changed when I resize my pics using the embedded "Resizer" app on Microsoft Windows 7 Pro.
