My pickup is a 99 F250, No such features. So left foot goes on top of the rear tire, grasp the bed rail, pull myself up and swing the right leg into the bed. I am not young by any means but still easy enough for now.

Friend of mine just bought an '03 F250 "work" model. Roll up windows, floor mat, no storage compartments in door panels, manual 4x4 stick in the floor, extended cab with clear glass, not a single piece of chrome on it that I saw. Burlington Northern rail road company bought it new. It is a truck looking for work!!!!!

Not me, I just do not see the point of a pickup being so tall, you can hardly load anything into it. Thought that was why they are called "pickups".

Our trucks, GMC and Dodge, didn't have any built in step features either.

They make them to fit your Ford: BEDSTEP(R) | AMP Research

Here is the one on my GMC, in the down position:

I am not ready to start taking it easy. I figure that will start the slippery slope

I will use the rear tire as my man step for now.

I've been using a Cosco Four Step 6' Lite Solutions Folding Step Ladder about ever since I got my dually. It's only 9 lbs., easily stores in the back of my crew cab and I can use it on either side or the front. And frequently pull it out to use in the shop and house. For getting into the bed of can dually I can easily step on the standard Ford factory stepbumper if the tailgate is up but the ladder is more versatile.

I put the bed step on my ram 1500 works well when its not froze.
