Just one pic, gotta pull the shutters and paint them black, but I saved nearly $800, so I can afford a can of paint. LOL Garage door is on right end, still have to underpin and all that jazz. I’ll get done more pics later. 12x24, not as big as original steel building plan, but that was another world.

Nice! So much easier than building. Will be a nice set up when you get the lights and power in. Congrats!

32 right now but....much to our surprise.....woke up to snow. First snow this winter......about an inch. Won't last long but real pretty. The dogs love the snow......having a great time.

Good morning all!, had about an inch of snow early am. Wind settled down about 7 am to 15-20 mph. Recorded gust was at 58 mph. Doesn't look like anything blew away  High will only be around 40* today. Couple more fronts moving through tommorow night, then again Friday.

Tried to start the project yesterday, carried 1 -16' 2x8 about 50', knee started screaming, turned around, the wind decided that it would play w/ the board like a sail. I looked like a peg-leg drunken sailor trying to get it back to the garage. Too bad the wifey didn't film it, probably would have won AFV!:laughing: Stayed in the shop for a couple hours, still organizing tools / misc. stuff. Gave up when the knee was talking to me (had to keep climbing over all the lumber stacked in there). Knee didn't like the up and down. Actually had a good nights sleep, only woke up twice, but then slept in until almost 06:30. :p
Plan to stay inside today. Going to make the months supply of "dog food". Boy our dogs are spoiled. They eat better than we do sometimes! Takes about 5-6 hours including the cleanup. Worth it to us though. Saw on the news yesterday another commercial dog food poisoning people's pets.

Ed: glad your feeling a little better and mom's also making some progress.

Jay: you have to plan a road trip out west, so many beautiful scenes, opposite of CR. Big rocks, much dryer, but still beautiful. (PS: we'll stop buy for some of that lamb..:licking:)

BEF: glad you're continuing to get better . Hope you work out the antenna problem, been there done that! Well worth the trouble setting up the OTA antenna and getting rid of a $250 satellite bill.

Drew: nice work, but don't push too hard, your elbow is talking to you, heed it's advice!

CWB WYO: stay warm! Have fun pushing the snow!

For all those I missed, have a great day, stay safe, have some fun! For those still needing prayers, sent them out this morning: priority service!

I was pretty impressed with the quality of construction with a bud's home delivered shed. I could pack one with all kinds of "neat stuff."

I am enjoying this warm air while I can. A colder and more wintry pattern appears increasingly likely across the Eastern CONUS starting in early March....... Maybe, just maybe a real coastal storm riding up the coastal CONUS not an energy transfer to a coastal storm.

LS- I am happy to read that you are as mobile as "Mr. Knee" will allow. Take care. We have talked a lot about a another long road trip; this time going out West, but the number of places we want to see is just mind boggling.

57 and sunny today, had to let the electrician in moms house since she passed last year found out that needed a new service box for the insurance. I was able to get grocery shopping done played with the dogs a wile now feeding them. Watching a little news then hope to enjoy some of the warm weather.
Randy nice looking building enjoy filling it up.

"We have talked a lot about a another long road trip; this time going out West, but the number of places we want to see is just mind boggling."----Jay

You would almost have to plan a "state by state " itinerary. You're right about so many places to see and things to do. Last year went up to Colorado for 12 days. Put 1800 miles on the Jeep and still didn't see everything we planned to see. Each time we stopped somewhere, there was something else to investigate and see. Most sites were found by 'word of mouth' from the local folks.

Word of mouth from the locals is the way to go. We created our itinerary "on the fly" via cellphone and laptop with the help of local knowledge. ;)

State by state seems to be the only logical way to try to "structure" the itinerary. Our if I had my way from geological formations to geological formations.

We have a Tundra Quadcab. It's like driving a sofa, but it is fairly decent on a road trip; for a truck. We ate regional foods as we traveled down the East CONUS on road trip and a road trip in Canada from Ontario to New Brunswick and south to ME. Poutine whoever it is served is "deadly"

On on of the excursions, we went to Silverton CO. Met a bunch of guys from MI jeep / 4x4 club that drove out to wheel on 'engineers mountain' . Lots of old mining roads (if you can call them roads) more like improved paths. Last summer, my son took his jeep down a path w/ some really tight switchbacks literally on the side of the mountain. He ended up down at a stream in the valley, set up the grill, and had a great day with his family playing in the cold mountain stream. They even panned for gold. Don't think they got any... At least he didn't tell us...hey, how did he pay for that new car?....

Fantastic pictures Ron. 13years and I bet you still didn't see / explore everything. The geological formations are very dramatic, varying in as close as 20-30 miles. Trip hopefully this August to Moab. Really want to go to Yellowstone, but Jay made me think about the caldera....my luck and it will blow while we're there..

Your right. We traveled from PNW down to Mexico. TX to CA and WY to WA. The best part was the people we met. Some of them are here on TBN.
The 2 pictures were taken about 15 miles from each other at Page, AZ.

It’s 4’ longer than the one that burned. I test fitted the tractors. IMG_0149.JPG

Probably won’t go back to using it for anything much more than storage, I’ve got the garage set up for servicing everything and I don’t see the need to move it back.

Ron- Awesome pictures. Thanks for sharing :D There seems to be a wealth of resource information here for a road trip or going to HI.

At one point I actually started to read about RV's and then I looked out the window at my little 18' sailboat lawn ornament just sitting there. I could park an RV next to it.

Randy- Looks like it will meet your needs or more. Thanks for sharing.

For the disaster-minded this is a great link: RSOE EDIS - Emergency and Disaster Information Service

It's pretty up to date with real time calamities. I like how it tracks earth killing celestial objects and how all the world's calderas are overdue for their next "Big One."

We use to pan for gold on the north fork of the Stanislaus, down river from our campground. Tried the Sacramento also.

Up to 70 here and partly cloudy, loving this weather.

B75- That's . Thanks for sharing. That NW CONUS cold spell probably has resulted in a lot of "anomalies" and their new word- "over/underperforming" as a descriptor in the meteo-babble discussion out your way. I do not think this NW CONUS weather pattern is going away anytime soon. Things may be changing for the east CONUS early next month.

I love your station. My PWS is now down to the indoor data and the anemometer outside.

I need to get a barometer for my new station, other than that I’m loving it.

I have a storm glass, a container of some kind of gel stuff that changes transparency as a weather predictor, 2 digital, and one functional replica Hg sailing barometers hanging on the downstairs' walls and if in doubt and or for backup I have a handheld SkyMaster PWS.

I suspect that there may be a "problem" here

I now have to start researching out personal weather stations again. It appears that a lot of the posters here have all kinds of different PWS's.
