Hi all,

I own a 2014 BX2370 with 60" deck, FEL, and rear blade with approximately 200 hours. I'm going to be moving and will unfortunately no longer need it and was looking to sell it.

Never sold a tractor before, so first question is should I talk to the dealer I bought it from and see what he'd give me for it? Not sure if dealers buy tractors without a new purchase or only on trade-ins.

Also, what's a good asking price for it? This is my first tractor so not sure what I should try to get for it. Obviously don't want to underprice it and leave money on the table, but don't want to overpriced it either and not be able to unload it.

Thanks for the help!

I had a 2014 bx2370 315 hours with 54” deck, loader, and front hydraulic snow blade (John Deere that was converted) dealer offered 10 for trade in. Ended up selling it outright with pto driven bagger(dealer didn’t want it) for 12500$.
I thought that was fair. Not apples to apples but something to compare too

You might look at tractorhouse.com for similar units to yours. Follow the drop downs/questions and you can even search closest to your zip code first. Dealer might be able to give you a ballpark $ to ask. Good Luck with your sale. Jon

I have a 2016 BX2670 with 110 hours, FEL, and 60" MMM. From the other tractors I've sold, I expect it to pull about $14,500 or so on trade. While your rear blade won't return much, with your older unit, more hours, and standard 60" deck (not drive-over) I would expect as an outright sale, you'd see the low $13's as the mowing season approaches. This is only based on my past 4 trades in N.Illinois.

I would expect without trading, you'll take hit, but since you are not needing to recover from the sales tax on a trade difference, and maybe a need to offload it sooner than later, a reduced offer may not be that big of a deal.
