I have been wanting a quick hitch for some time now, especially since I built my counter weight. It is not fun at all to hook up and because of that I don't use it as much as I should for loader work. My snow blower is a bit of a pain to hook up also. I have never used one before but I think I would like something like the Pat's QH better than the standard frame one. The only part of hooking up to the 3ph is trying to line up the pins with the holes in the lift arms. I have searched high and low in Canada for a place that sold the Pat's but came up empty handed. A member on here had one that he was willing to sell to me but when I checked on the shipping to Canada it was outrageous, so I built my own. It was really quite easy and took minimal material. 2x2x1/4 rectangle tube fit nicely over the lift arms of my L2501. I cut up some 1" plate, drilled some holes and welded them together. It is attached with L9 bolts and a grade 8 bolt for the keeper pin. I will be drilling a hole in the keeper bolt to install a small linch pin for easier use. All together it took about 3 hours to build and it works great. I don't have pictures yet of it on the tractor but here is one before paint.

That's pretty slick, nice job. I modified my lift arms so they telescope, but I think I like your way better. Took me a lot more than three hours too.

Stomper...you’ve experienced much the same as me, as far as the scarcity of anything affordable in the Canadian market.
I saw an Agri-Ease QH at my dealership for 169 dollars in the fall. I said would grab one in the spring. It’s 210 dollars now! I saw the shipping on Pat’s QH, and was also amazed. Man, that shipping is crazy! Wanted to get a Piranha bar for the loader...the shipping was more than the bar!
Keep me posted on how your fab job works. PS...what do you charge for shipping? Lol.

I have the Pat's, and love it!
Your version appears to me to be a superb simplification.
Beware: Greenwell mfg. (Pat's) may copy it !

You could market yours in Canada !
No import fees, reasonable shipping? (Canada Post?)
Call it "Stomper hitch" ???

Interesting. I actually borrowed the idea from titan but modified it a bit but it's actually neat to see that the exact idea is out there already. So I guess I can't take any credit for the design, it's already been done. I never built a spreader bar because I don't think it is nessesary and it's just one more peice to complicate things. I keep my turnbuckles adjusted and use a bungee to hold the lift arms secured from spreading. If I need to spread them I can easily. If I accidently lose the bungee, I have several others. I'd probably just run the spreader bar over any way. I always have my trailer mover on the 3ph anyway when theres nothing else on it.

I went through the exact same thing with the Piranha tooth bar and decided if I need one that bad I will look in Canada for something or build one myself. I've heard nothing but good about that toothbar but for what it will cost to get it to me, it's not worth it. Buying anything tractor related (because it is usually heavy) from the US is completely out of the question for us Canadians, simply because of the outrageous shipping charges. I have been searching for the best grapple style for my needs for some time now. There seem to be several styles that will work great but they are not in Canada. I believe I will have to build my own so I get exactly what I want for a price that is affordable, but thats ok I love to fabricate stuff. I wish there was a place in Canada like Everything Attachments but I haven't found one yet
