One of my closest friends was an English teacher and a technical writer all his life. My SIL was head of my high schools English Dept.
Both my parents were contract lawyers. Misspelling was not an option. I remember a certain spelling bee I won.
Owe it all to my parents, who corrected bad speech and until it was all spelled right it wasn't done.
Gosh I owe them a lot. I was given everything I needed, except money or a car..., to go out and be productive
and lead a good life. And by the way, work harder than everyone around you.

It’s basically an adverb and pretty much synonymous with undoubtedly.
You would be surprised by my vocabulary and command thereof.
