Is the geometry wrong for a siphon?

Unfortunately it is, gravity won't help me much with this one, the run from the pond up to the tank is slightly uphill :(

Probably not a bad thing, my topper (aka bush hog) has skimmed over the pipe I hope to use for filling on more than one occasion. I discovered the hard way a while ago that siphons have little tolerance for air holes, whereas a few water leaks on a lightly pressurised surface pipe only make the grass greener.

Good morning. Things are running a little late for me this morning. I've no DST to blame as they don't mess with our clocks for another week, just been out for an early morning check up at the dentist. Although my hearing is starting to fail, that high speed whine of their air tools sounds as penetrating as ever, even though I only needed a polish.

Randy, steady on, you're taking away some of my best childhood memories. Before your last posts, if anyone said Flipper, I would think of a pet dolphin :D
Good to hear you really enjoying life again

When I was younger, the only time we saw brazil nuts was as at Christmas. I enjoyed cracking them out of their shells far more than their taste.

They always reminded me of a picture I'd seen of the underbelly of a whale. Ate whale meat once while in Norway. Give me Brazil nuts any day over that - even if they have gone slightly rancid

0 and going to a high of 30 wind SE 8 mph. 30% chance of flurries.

I will plow this morning, for sure. Town run this afternoon.

I found a new supplier for stuff for my boat. A Canadian company, YES!
Marine and Boat Electric Pump - Bilge Pumps - Electric in Canada
Now I can get the stuff I need for the boat to make it legal again. All except for flares. Those I will get locally. Yes, I will Break Out Another Thousand. Next year when I come off the highway and go back into the city, I want to have a boat to enjoy.

I think that Monte Carlo would look better with a set of stock size Cragars or Centerlines on it. The 20" rims and low pros make it look goofy.

Have a safe day all

They’re probably at least 24’s.

Good morning all, 29 this morning going to 37 and we have about 2 in of snow. Calling for 1-2 more. Got rapped up in some praise music this morning so I am later than usual. Do hope Trump or someone does away with the time change. Thanks for the prayers guys.

Randy, Hope things go well with the car and the lady.

Drew, safe trip.

Ron, I always wanted to float the Moose river. The Polar Bear Express train goes from Cochrane to Moosonee. About half way you get off of the train and float the moose river up to Saint James bay and back down to Moosonee. You will likely see no one but your own group for the whole trip. The trees are very stunted up there and they say a 200 year old tree could be I think 6 ft tall. I was a teen when I rode the train up.

Have a great day, prayers for Rip and wife, Eddie and his wife, and all in need. Ed

My aunt had diverticulitis, she wasn稚 the worst case but had a lot of problems.

I had it when I was young. I changed my diet to always include fruits, apples, oats, and lots of green stuff. I still eat meat, basically, anything I want, but I always eat some fiber sometime during the day. Moderation in all things....
