"...... and wife went to meeting about mom being depressed and just grumps at people and won't do rehab."- Ed

Mom has a possibly nighttime active roommate so she can not sleep at night. The resident "yellers and screamers" who are making noise all night long do not help. The food sucks and not a lot of variety either. Not a lot of social contact. Maintenance staff become one of your "best friends." Your Mom's friends and family are "dropping off." "Therapy" hurts. Mom will take control of what she can as long as she can and I am thankful for her and supportive of you and your family. You are all Heroes.

Ed- My ++ thoughts, wishes, and prayers- J

Good afternoon, Had a fun day today. Wife ordered a weight machine so she can work out from Walmart. They sent a text saying it was in and I went down to get it. They loaded it on the truck and when I got home I read on the box, for 3 to 10 year olds. That got me to looking and I found that the weight machine had turned into a swing set. Put it in the garage and wife went to meeting about mom being depressed and just grumps at people and won't do rehab. Called Walmart and they said they had the machine, was looking at it right then. When wife got home I took the swing set back to Walmart but they could not find the weight machine. Had a good talk with the manager and took a pic of his name card and got him to sign a paper saying I did not get my order. Had a good chat with him and enjoyed it. Supposed to get it soon.

Hay does anyone know a good way to clean carpet in a pickup. I have an 01 dodge that I like and I have only done about $300 worth of repairs. It was my work truck when I built houses and it got pretty dirty. Now that I am a city dude :) I thought I ought to get it clean.

Have a great evening Ed

Ed, take the carpets out and power wash them, hang them until COMPLETELY DRY! Then reinstall, not hard at all to do.

had a good day outside, got the last of the potatoes planted, this time after hilling with the Super A. Also went next door and hilled and tilled my neighbor's personal garden behind his trailer,
which is now no longer liveable.

Came back in and got thoroughly disgusted with electricians who after three hours still had not finished wiring in an on off switch to my
new sprinkler pump. Their main guy retired and the number two who is now number one isn't cutting it.
I told the owner I wanted a two hundred dollar on off switch, not a thousand dollar one, and to kill the job.
I needless to say need a new electrician.
My plumber guys make everything easy, just the opposite with this crew today.
Thankfully the water pumps pretty well out there even without the pump on.

So much to catch up on.

Prayers for Ed and family. Riptides and wife too.

RNG, you need strong blue spark. Hope you get it figured out soon.

Wngsprd, are you going to run out of trees to cut down before you run out of energy??? You wear me out just reading.

Drew, tip your electricians a violet blue toilet that is just over by your potatoes.

Don, sorry, don't need any coons here. Surprised the bids went that high. How about get her a golf cart? Easy ingress/egress. You should see Mrs. T (BBQ lady at Snow's) drive the gator at the school. zoom zoom zoom.

Sorry about U of H losing at the buzzer. A&M women WON in that fashion, a 3 pointer at the buzzer.

Had to order 2 new NiMH batteries for my old craftsman 19.2 volt combo set. $33. Amazon. This chicken coop build is getting pricey. My daughter is getting antsy PJ. I dare not tell her y'all got 10. I don't know how to keep 'em out of the garden, but I hear they'll eat scorpions. 4-5 birds is my goal. No rooster. I will just buy new chicks when needed.

jbrumburg, thanks, you are likely right on all points but I think the big one for mom is she can't fix congestive heart failure.

Randy, To lazy for that, will find something easier that I can do a little at a time when I have time. Ed

Ed- My +++ thoughts, wishes, and prayers. Mom can not change her CHF. I really hope Mom can "work through" the CHF and "other stuff." No resident that I ever met in a longterm care facilities ever believed that they would end up in one. A tough (and powerless) situation to end up in for residents like your Mom.

I would rather hear the complaints, than silence due to fear of facility "reciprocity."

An equal challenge for family.

Good evening to all! Weather not too bad here today, little bit of a cool breeze, went up to about 55. Should go up to about 55 tommorow, 65 on Wednesday.

Well, the ortho Doc came in the room, pulled up the MRI on the screen, and explained what he was seeing. Pretty much no options but surgery. He stated will try to repair, but chance it won't work. Talked about possible replacement surgery, but more of an outside chance. Not what I wanted to hear. He believed I should not have gone back on light duty. He took me off until after surgery, scheduled for 1st week of April.
I guess it's better to always look on the brighter side... I get more time on TBN:cool2:

Anyway, some folks here with far more serious problems than this...My Prayers are out to them.

RNG, how can you not want a vacuum named Neato?.................

Mowed the roadsides for first time, not much trash, early in the season.
Then planted some gourmet potatoes friends gave me for my birthday.
All blue potatoes, should make interesting potato salad.

I'm thinking this sifter was originally a flour sifter, but the prior owner of my farm left it in the garden shed for me, along with a bunch of other not so valuable stuff, and had
repurposed it apparently to sift dirt. I can't read the writing but it says food in there somewhere, but is very sturdy and probably works on our sandy soil here.
I had never seen one.

We always used something similar to that to juice tomatoes. Blanch them. Peal them. Slice small enough to get under flap. And juice away.

Ha. I had to laugh. You guys seen a mistake. First thought I had when looking at that photo was.
Good fracture. He had that ripper set right.

I’d have to say first generation auto steer. You have to turn it around at the end and get close to next pass then press a button for computer to take over.

Good evening all. 55F, clear, and moderate wind. clouded up late this afternoon, wind was gusty this afternoon, and high temp was 67F. Drove home from STL Saturday, Sunday, Choir sang at chapel, fixed washing machine leak with no parts! Then found out my new tube of patch cement wont hold tube patches on, and disc brake rubbing on Volagi, and tried to adjust that (disc rotor warped) Today after choir practice took the10-speed out for bike ride and front derailleur cable broke.
Have been enjoying the Randy saga.
Happy Birthday (belated) to Drew and Kyle's son (nice Fish).
Ed and David good luck with you diet, I am down 5 pounds in a month, lost 10 pounds last year.
Prayers for all
