Good morning!!!!

We have almost a 1/2 mile of road frontage on this road. It's all brush/vegetation along the roadside. The roadside garbage is still entombed in the snowbanks, but I'll be seeing the debris soon  I find all kinds of "distasteful stuff.":mad:

The absolute worst are the disposable diapers. Especially after a good rain soaks them and the moisture absorbent material in them swells up. Turns my stomach everytime I have to clean one up in the cul de sac where my driveway ends. :yuck:

Ask your neighbor with all the game cams if he has a favorite. I'm still in the market for a few, but I've been struggling trying to find one with decent reviews.

I have found my next robo vac, though. It's a Neato D7, to be released on the world next month.

RNG- They are definitely nasty; so are the "sanitary" things. I wear gloves sometimes. Good luck with Neato II.

Due to my former line of work those things are not as stomach upsetting.

To this day I still do not understand why some of the residents in the secure "memory Impaired" unit that I managed would remove their protective products, remove the blue moisture absorbing materials, and throw everything in the toilet. It is awesome how the blue material swells.:cool: It's like "The Thing" climbing up the bowl. It really can clog plumbing. Dentures, hearing aids, and grapefruits (for some "reason" ) were common toilet "finds." I am still "processing" the grapefruit "thing" :embarrassed:

Dave- Is this a HAM Tech I course?

RNG, how can you not want a vacuum named Neato?.................

Mowed the roadsides for first time, not much trash, early in the season.
Then planted some gourmet potatoes friends gave me for my birthday.
All blue potatoes, should make interesting potato salad.

I'm thinking this sifter was originally a flour sifter, but the prior owner of my farm left it in the garden shed for me, along with a bunch of other not so valuable stuff, and had
repurposed it apparently to sift dirt. I can't read the writing but it says food in there somewhere, but is very sturdy and probably works on our sandy soil here.
I had never seen one.

Not a sifter. A strainer. My mother used one to make apple sauce after the apples had been cooked.

RNG;
Is your new system wireless, Bill? If not, was installation included? And how did they get the wires to everywhere the cameras were mounted? I have seven wireless cameras spotted around the property, and am experiencing a lot of network errors due to all the video traffic. Lots of interruptions and missed images, so I'm looking for something better.

It is a wired system, I should have it on March 24th. Each camera comes with 60' of BNC cable. It is an 8 camera system, but I am only going to use 5 of them for right now. The house is 52X26' so anywhere I mount the cameras, I should be able to get the wires to the DVR unit without having to buy more wire. They sell extra wire in 100 and 120' lengths as well as the 60'.
The wire will be running through the basement/cellar and stapled to the underside of the trusses.
I will be installing it myself, well me and the young (50) lad.

This is it:
1080p Camera System with 8 Channel DVR and 8 1080p Outdoor Security Cameras | Lorex

You have a choice between USA English, UK English or Canadian English. The only difference is the price.

Those food mill/strainers actually work pretty well once one figures out how to put it together and figure out which disc to use. There are different disks to make different stuff like riced potatoes and spaetzle.

We have a cheap plastic equivalent, but it works.

RNG- My neighbor's system is hardwired. I have no clue where he has hidden all his cameras. It's probably an older version of what L4N is recommending.

Not sure of formal title but yes, prep for the Tech exam/license. An effort by local CD to get some folks licensed. We have local CERT teams and while class is purposed for them enrollment was opened up. I guess in hopes some others would follow up with CERT training next round.

That looks like a ricer my previous wife had. Really good for a variety of things.

David- Quite a few radio control hobbyists are pursuing the Tech I do they can legally use more powerful video transmitters and probably more powerful radio control transmitters for their aircraft. My interest is more CD/Weather Observer interest than drone operator interest. My tiny (FCC legal) 10mW video transmitter has more than enough range for this owner/operator "wussy." I only fly it as far away as I can visually fly it and/or willing to walk to in a Law of Gravity event.

I’m quite happy at this point flying my drone within sight. There are enough challenging recovery spots within that area including some that could win. At this point I’m only flying my P3P without the camera so I lose the sight capability. But I think that is possibly making me a better pilot. Likely send camera off for gimbal repair next month and then get back to getting back to honing photo abilities. I know my cottage resident would really like a good photo map of the 11 acres he,s buying. Of course as a non commercial pilot this would only be me practicing for myself although I might share the resulting video for critique.
