Nice wood sheds! You should write the filled date on the end of one of the logs in the shed, that way you won't have to repaint the wood shed as often.

Valid question. First shed I built was an open front/back...just had two end walls. Probably held about 2 cords. It didn't hold up to moving around (empty) different locations on the farm where I would be thinning or clearing. So after a some years of this proto-type, I built a couple of the 4 cord sheds, built them quite a bit studier.

Then I really started keeping up with the amount of out wood use....and decided a couple more would do the trick for 2-3 years worth of wood in the dry. I suppose I could have built them bigger, but this size is about as big as I care to move. Also some years it's 5 cords....I don't think there is a perfect size, so this is it.

I agree. I store in a lean-to on the backside of my shop. It will hole two years worth, depending on the weather......

Thought maybe it was a logistical thing in regards to your size. Not related to how much wood you burned. Just curious. Thanks for answering.

PT pine. Four corner posts are oak, mortised/tenon into the skid.
