We've had several hoses made up at O'Reilly's Auto. MUCH cheaper than at most other shops, and they're same quality.
Good to know. I never had thought of OReillys. I wonder if all of the stores do hoses. Or if they send them out to a central OReillys that does the hoses. I now wonder about NAPA stores. Lots of expensive fittings of different sizes/styles to keep on hand for the occasional hose sale.

NAPA stores up here do hydraulic hoses. I have a hydraulic shop close by that is better for me, and they will have or get any type end I want/need. They do cylinder, valve and pump repairs also. They also do air, gas, and liquid service hoses also. Nice to have it all one place. NAPA up here is very service oriented. I have been an exclusive customer of theirs for over 50 years.

Mine was rusted solid, both sides, many hours in getting it freed up, now it goes on and off in a jiffy.
I have not replaced the lever collar that I had to destroy to get my backhoe off. Do you put grease on the shaft to keep them from seizing?

You are not far from me. Are the prices reasonable?

Goeduck, I think they are in line. I have had them make a couple of Hyd hoses and several propane hoses. They do a nice job. They even told me to buy Hyd valves from Surplus Center as they could not come close to them on price. Guys are very nice and helpful whether you buy or not. Belfair Hose out by the Bremerton airport.

I buy all my auto parts, lubricants, special tools, and filters at NAPA. NAPA has several levels of pricing; counter, mechanic shops, military, and fleet. You have to ask though. They give me fleet or military which ever is cheapest. Lubricants and filters are like 40-50% off list/counter. Self serve is the lowest discount; around 10% or nothing depending. My Kubota dealer is Jennings Equipment in Puyallup.

I replaced all the hoses on my b21 loader last year. All fittings are 3/8 or 1/2 FJIC. Take each hose off and measure end to end then do a custom order from Universal Hose and Fittings Home. Price was $15-20 per hose.

Yes. The pawls on mine were seized solid as well, I emery clothed everything and greased and all good.

I finally got to the NAPA store to have some hoses made up. OReillys locally does not do hoses. Question after I get new hoses. The original owner was hard on the hard lines on the old girl. Can they be straightened or would there be too much fatigue?

Those hard lines are not easy to straighten. Unless you have good equipment for bending tubing you are almost certain to create weak spots (as you say fatigue places) in the metal which will eventually cause problems. It may not be pretty but leaving them alone is the best option. To my pocket book they are too expensive to wholesale replace all of them. Maybe sand off the rust would be good.

Your paint is not so good either, etc. If you decide to spend money for restoration and appearance, do the new hard lines when you do the paint job.
