Good morning!!!!

Forgot to start coffee brewing. 33° with light rain this morning. Heading to 37° with cloudy skies and chilling north west wind. Another PT visit. My back feels better than it has in years. 6 more visits. Maybe I can start running again. No other plans for today.

I spent 5 weeks in Wolverhampton, UK at a small hotel in the 70's. Breakfast and dinner there. Great food. The place was more like a Pub. Only problem was with the coffee. Asked the lady to please stop putting watered down milk in it. I think that is where I started drinking black coffee. No tea for me at any hour of the day. I looked up Wolverhampton. Rated worst city in UK. I should complain, Same group rated Detroit worst city in the world. :ashamed:

Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning All.

OK, so when I was a kid, and believe me, we lived in the South South, we called lunch dinner and late meal supper. I too, always thought English tea was mid afternoon. Kind of a pick-me-up.

That was one of my favorite songs way back when.

After a thorough study, I ended up buying a Mantis tiller with the Honda engine. I kept hearing about the newer 2 strokes having trouble starting after sitting for a while. Even the Stihl and Echo. I'm not sure about the handle bar ergonomics yet. It has plenty of power from the 25cc/1.5 cu inch engine. It likes to hop and gets into a resonant hopping mode...Maybe I need more practice. The tines can be reverse mounted for more aggressive action.

Same in North Carolina on meal names and times.

I can’t run a hand tiller, never could, it either buried its self as soon as I hit the clutch, or it takes off like a bat out of hades dragging me behind!

Windy and warm, turning real windy and cold. Come on spring.

Today is LS's surgery, two thumbs up for his successful recovery.

And more good thoughts sent to Riptides and wife. Am sure hoping he comes back to tell us things are ok; remembering that TBN is hardly a priority when one's wife is in the hospital. Though it honestly helped me keep my sanity for the more than 200 days my wife was in the hospital in her last two years. Reading TBN posts while sitting in that recliner chair...I just hope RIP and his wife are both home and doing better.

Ed, I hope you are back to greeting each day with a smile and that a big weight is off your heart. Getting rid of worry is huge.

Good morning! A 30˚ drop in temp at 50˚ this morning with a brisk 15 mph wind makes it feel like Winter is still lingering, and that's OK with me. Clear skies, low humidity, I hope no fool decides to burn their bush pile today.

The great potato race is taking shape. Mine are about 6" tall and all are up except 7, which probably won't come up.

Talking of big breakfasts, we used to make breakfast at work and the favorite was breakfast tacos. Jimmy Dean Sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, onion, bell pepper, and shredded cheese rolled in a large flour tortilla covered with Pace Picante sauce. Of course that was before I knew it was contributing to my heart disease.

Heart tip for the morning:
Turmeric (curcumin) has been found to help stabilize plaque to prevent a heart attack, kind of what a statins does.

26 with a high of 23. I guess it is gonna get colder. Winds NNE 14 gusting to 25 mph. Visibility 1 mile.
Winter storm warning still in effect.

Hwy 11 is closed North of me, both ways.

I don't think I will get to that meeting scheduled for tomorrow.
Hazardous winter conditions are expected.

Major winter storm continues today.

It's hard to believe that it's early April given the nasty winter storm that is blasting Northeastern Ontario today.

Further snowfall amounts near 10 cm (4") are expected today, resulting in storm totals of 15 to 30 cm (6 to 12") in many areas. Strong and gusty northerly winds are expected to whip up the freshly fallen snow, with frequent very low visibility in blowing snow in exposed areas possible.

Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
There are quite a few rock cuts South of me and the north wind creates a wind tunnel effect when running between them. With visibility down to a mile, I think discretion is the better part of valour and I will stay home.

It isn't my driving I worry about, it is everybody else that is too cheap or too stupid to put on snow tires AND won't slow down.

Some of the 'new Canadians' driving big trucks can get quite aggressive in the snow and that is putting it mildly.

Stay safe all
