Going to get a sub soiler for this project. Besides have an idea of pulling in some electrial wires too for extension to my dock.
An excavator will do a better job with less mess, plus he can leave a lot more soil on site. It also can bury the stumps upside down if he so desires. I had two acres cleared, it took him 2 days to clear and pile it with stumps from 2" all of the way up to 10". The guy knew what he was doing and raked it to get the rocks as well as the roots. I expected him to miss some of the smaller stumps but was able to start disking it the next year.It all comes down to spending time or money. You have the equipment to do it, given enough time. If you want it done soon then hire someone with a bull dozier.
Like this:Next time try a powered pole saw. I saw some forest workers thinning trees and it looked like they were using small chain saws with a very long bar.
