303 is the best UV protection you can get. The only downside is it must be reapplied every 90 days.

I follow a channel called sweet project cars. He's as cheap as I am. So I treated wiper blades and tires.
Wiper blades after 3 months of S. Texas sun still holding up well. Will treat them about every 6 months if I remember heh....
Use on Travel Trailer as well. well most anything needing UV protection.
the black clay did not stick to the tires as much as they used to when I treated the CK.
Will coat all things not metal on the NX when I get caught up with cleaning up roots and junk from the huisache plowing and reseed an acre for food plot.
Oh and find me a bottle of spray on polish for all things metal. I like to see water bead off the rims and hood. Plus when wheels get muddy and nasty the stuff seems to wash off easier. Hate using a power sprayer, to much electronics to chance it.;)

Meguiars Proffessional line, Synthetic X-press spray wax,

It's not a replacement for your real sealant, but for 2-3 weeks you will bead and be protected. It's intended as a topper, or a maintenance product used to boost/enhance your properly sealed finish. But it's an amazing product (short service life though) for wheels, glass and trim as well as the entire paint job. I buy 6 gallons at a time, I use it on everything but my wife.

I use it on my stainless appliances, my shower stall and glass door, my black marble counter tops. Oh, and I use it all over my cars and trucks!

This is life changing.

I buy locally at Pittsburgh's Premier Car Care Store for detailing supplies, equipment and accessories. - Autoality Incorporated , he will discount down to around $25 a bottle of your buying bulk/case quantity. I'd call T at Autoality and see if you can work a deal for 4 gallons shipped.

I too would like to hear your recipe in detail. I have painted lots of stuff with enamel but never used additives.

Curious if anybody knows. You can have something sandblasted but if there were rust blisters, these still show through the fresh paint. Any (easy) way of hiding those?

There is a product used in body work called red lead aka skim putty :Robot Check

Good job:thumbsup: What brand paint ,hardner, spray gun. What was your ratio .? How did the paint harden? I ve have been painting tractor projects and restoration stuff for years and I still suck at paint. Mainly use rustoleum with mixed results. Some get hard some you could scratch your name into it with your finger nail.:mad:The worst thing is they all seem to fade way to fast . I tried tsc implement paint and that came out the worst.Like to hear your formula.:drink:

In my experience Tremclad does not fade so you might try it next time.

I looked at Tremclad after you mentioned it and the MSDS sheet pulls up its manufactured by Rustoleum in Canada. Wonder if it's a different formula mix.

Does not surprise me.
At one time Sico made all the paints in this area as they had a big installation. Sherwin Williams were real big 20 years ago but almost disappeared but suddenly are back in the picture and now own the former Sico factory.
Kind of interesting to see that the manufacturer of a very high volume lower priced product also produces his compeditor's low volume higher priced one as well.
I have also noted that brands come and go over the years and also they all have their similar seasonal promotions, like 4 for 3.
Today it is all about chemistry, and very specialized at that.
Around here we only can get water based now.

And yes formulas do vary a lot. An uncle was a commercial artist and knew what to add to paint to create whatever drying time suited the application.
Sign painters need very opaque and very fast drying along with specific floss.
