I feel sorry for the young folks and other first time home buyers who will be priced out of a house due the $10K average additional cost forecasted. I didn't see that mentioned in the Weather Channel article, (read it in a Wall Street Journal article this week) but didn't watch the video, so might have been there.

I'd like to know where in Staunton also. From the inlaws in H'burg, we have gone as far south as Roanoke to eat.. Always looking to try new places. On our way down I81, we like to eat in Draper also.

We planning to go to gettysburg for mothers day.

Need to stop in costco and see if i can get 4 truck tires today. Still have original tires on truck, 10 yrs old. They still have lots of tread, but sides cracking bad. Also need back brakes.

I wish Costco did brakes, too. Would make it very convenient when getting tires installed or one of the free balancing/rotation visits.

Maybe a small solar system could cost $10,000, but a decent system will be double that....Maybe they can keep painting the streets white too. Plus, remember coffee causes cancer there.

Cloudy, clearing off later, headed to the high 80's. Time to water the garden....and hunt wabbits.

Wifey made my milk chocolate mixed into decaf coffee this morning.

Had a busy day getting the new Zero turn going. First had to replace the bathroom exhaust fan motor. Then the delivery truck arrived and unloaded it...I signed the papers, paid the driver for it, and shot the breeze for a minute or two.

I decided to be prudent and check the fluids...hydraulic fluid was low...checked the manual to make sure I had done it right: briefly idled it, lowered deck, parked it level, etc. but the fluid was just not reaching the minimum mark. Had to go to town anyway...they were real nice and gave me a gallon jug of Super UDT2. The manual says it can take a while for the fluid to flow/seep into all areas, so checking and topping may be expected...added less than a pint and that seemed to do the trick...but I put cardboard under it tonight to check for a leak, just in case.

Didn't have a chance to really run it and mow with it until 5pm. Wow, what a difference from my old mower...so fast and smooth and a very nice cut. The seat is very comfortable. I had to move my tractor right after driving the zero turn. The tractor seat, which used to seem so comfy, felt like a wooden bench in comparison. If this new mower lasts 14 years like my old mower, it will likely outlast my ability to still be out there mowing. But it was so much fun driving it that I may try.

I had decided I wanted to go diesel, and get a 60 inch mower. I shopped around, but really liked what Kubota offered, and bought the ZD 1021. The local dealer had the best deal and "threw in" a lift kit, but they had to order it and bring it out next week to install...should make easier mower maintenance by cranking up the front end.

Really like it so far.

Great mower and you will love the jack! Makes maintenance very quick and easy.

The real problem likely isn't the diet - it's the smoking ... and yeah, it is hard.

Are you on the whole food plant based diet with no added oils and fats?
I agree smoking is one of the big three causes for the cause of inflammation - Diet, Smoking, Stress.
Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Wngsprd, awesome mower. That will definitely be a time saver.

65 going up to low 90's today.

Could not reach grounding hole under house. Sigh.
Other holes in fields have fresh occupants. I would say 3 out of 5. Either I am doing the bombs when they are not home or I am missing the burrow. More bombs on order today.

Need to finish the grass duty today and start the pool opening up.

Bought wife some flowering plants for her garden that I will surprise her with in the AM.

Hope all have good fortunes and a great day. Be safe.

39 and going to a high of 61. Wind SE 6 mph. Mainly sunny.

Well, yesterday I went out at 9:30 A.M. to tire kick. Looked at a Dodge Dart that was quite attractive price wise ($9,900.) but I couldn't get into it comfortably without taking my head off. I'm 6'4" and don't bend as easily as I did when I was a kid. So the Dart was a no-go. And that ruled out the Hellcat (707 hp) right beside it. I had a list with me, so the salesman wasn't going to put me into any old p-o-s.
Second ride was a 2013 Dodge Journey SXT crew, loaded, almost all the bells and whistles. 3 row seating, 2 back rows fold down for 2 people runs and tons of cargo space. 113,540 kms (70,900 miles), barely broke in and carfax says it was well looked after. Oil changes at the dealer every 3,000 kms or so. D-I-L fell in love with it after a trip around the block on some of the roughest roads we have. She is the one that rides in the back seat, so she is the one I need to please. (She also does all the cooking here). So, the bottom line, I bought it. List was $13,900+tax+corrosion proofing+license to my b'day in September= $16,100.oo It will be in my name next week. I don't have any pictures and wont until next week.

Came home and got 3 of the raised beds dismantled and the top soil redistributed. Only 8 more to go.
I also got the battery back into my riding mower and will fluid film under the deck this morning, then back to the raised beds. I might cut the grass later today or maybe tomorrow.

Happy weekend all
