Got some of garden planted. Need to get poles for pole beans, never planted pole beans before.

   / Good morning!!!! #75,962
very fully day, once I got home. Cultivated all the corn rows twice, looks much better, those tines really clog up easily with big weeds, but they got the job done.
Not all that much corn left out there. Then I checked on the potatoes and oh yes, red new potatoes ready to go. Hand forked about twenty pounds in the middle of the field in the 95 degree sun and decided I was no longer having fun and time to come in. I also picked about two pounds of snow peas. So, made the Garden Club ladies happy and got my corn and potatoes and peas done.
I'm done. Closed sign up.
Cold Corona almost down, my one hot sweaty day treat.

Neighbor's tenant farmer came in to spray. I was right there watching.

Am a bit concerned over oil pressure on Super A when hot. After two hours of working hard in the hot sun, it shows
very little oil pressure. No smoke, no sign of distress, no knocks but worrisome.

Nice day, but a bit cool...
Got the chipper off the truck...no problems. I got as much assembled as I could...this is a two person job, really...I think one of you wrote something about that.
Anyway...a bit tuckered out...I'll finish the assembly tomorrow. I hope my neighbor can lend a hand.

I think Drew did the 2 man. I assembled mine by myself. I used clamps to hold chute panels while I lifted them with my shop hoist.

Are you on the whole food plant based diet with no added oils and fats?
No.

But some falafel does sound kinda good right now.

I agree smoking is one of the big three causes for the cause of inflammation - Diet, Smoking, Stress.

Hope you have a speedy recovery.
Thanks Don, appreciate it.

I'm sure it will go much quicker/better if I'm not smoking ...

Sorry to hear about the procedure, RS, and wish you a speedy recovery.
Thanks RNG.

My dad had the same operation, and the surgeon botched it. Plaque escaped into his brain and caused a stroke from which he never did recover.
Very sorry to hear that.

It seems like it can go either way ... some folks recover, others don't.

The fact that my plaque was soft (toothpaste) isn't necessarily a good thing, since it might be more prone to coming loose and then creating a blockage elsewhere.

Dunno whether there might be an upside, in terms of blockages dissolving once they've formed.

My right carotid, while not as bad as the left, ain't real good either ... they estimate the blockage in that one at 49% to 69% ... so I could still end up stroking out at some point I suppose.

Ol' Don might yet succeed in getting me to take the wascally wabbit cure ...

Lordy ... I might even wind up with one of those instant pot thingies ...

Hope you have better luck.
Thanks. I do too.

I think I'll give the sheriff's office a call Monday and talk to somebody there about the neighbor's late night shooting. Similar behavior was noted for the nut job that shot up Rancho Tehama a few months back, and maybe they'll send a deputy out to have a talk with the idiots. Hate to poke my nose into someone else's business, but I draw the line at inappropriate use of firearms.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
You too.

Now that really made me laugh in a good way. When you decide to come to the other side I'll supply you with enough recipes that you won't miss anything, except that dangerous soft plaque buildup. Oh, and once you buy one Instant Pot thingy you will quickly discover the need for a second.:D

Now to make dewberry Cobbler #11 for Mom.

Ron here is Whipper harassing the large coral snake that had swallowed about half the copperhead in the next pic. I was hoping to get a pic of the copperhead in the mouth of the coral snake but Whipper pulled it out of the coral snakes mouth. I tried to get whipper away from the coral snake but she kept throwing it about and I had to leave - too dangerous.
