sure not going out in that...
Hoed a lot of corn today, and most of the garden.
Now paying bills, doing laundry, and keeping a/c at about 76 inside.
One good thing about bad arthritis, no desire to keep the house any cooler in the summer.
Have four ceiling fans slowly spinning to move it all around. I keep the office at 78 with a fan right overhead and that
is comfortable for me. Particularly sitting here in gym shorts, which are quite comfortable after sweating through two complete sets of clothes
today.
I should go out and pick peas again after dinner, when sun is down, as I have a car load of new red potatoes and snow peas to take to food pantry
tomorrow morning, and I bet I could fill another container. Just not sure I want to get sweaty again after shower and shave.
Perhaps I might punt and wait until early tomorrow morning to pick.
I got hot enough outside this morning hoeing corn my face got red and puffy and my left eustachian tube
plugged up, swollen I guess. Like I had gotten water in it...
Body was clearly talking to me to cool off. Which I did. Have been drinking lots of extra water and
fruit drinks today. Really should make a big batch of ice tea, have excess supply of tea bags going stale.
RS, I had veggie burgers today instead of hamburger and they were really delicious, particularly doctored up.
If you are a burger guy, try alternating between beef, salmon and veggie burgers.
I can't imagine how hard that must be to stop smoking. Both my parents smoked and they both died
of cancer, my father's laryngeal. Cigars for sure.
So many learned and rote habits, automatically grabbing for a smoke when A B or C.
Instant gratification and feeling better. Who wouldn't want that...but not at such a great cost.
RS you've got an uphill climb for awhile. Get off the drugs successfully, enjoy the good stuff while it lasts, and
then buy stock in chewing gum, as you are going to be going through a bunch. We are all rooting for you.
If I had gone through what you just did, after the shock wears off, I'd figure that the toothpaste was most likely caused by what
I ate, which is good news. It means you can eat something different and get healthier.
Good luck with this, you are going to be poked and prodded a bit for awhile.
How is your wife dealing with this? Can you do this kinda together?
