Way to get the red light in the picture for the safety police! If you all want to capture fodder for this thread, just hang out at the self loading zone at Home Depot. I make a point of walking in/out of the store through that entrance for the entertainment value.

Believe me I try every vote I cast. Square mile wise the state is conservative but the high density big cities are highly liberal and they more than offset the rest of us. Very frustrating.

Spend about half an hour in Seattle traffic and you'll see why it's structured that way. Heck, last time I was up there I saw a driver(!) with one leg propped out the window, opposite hand texting/scrolling twitter/whatever and not a single eye on the car in front.

Now, I'd be totally fine with repealing the law if you want take a selfie on your scooter/motorcycle but the second you get behind a couple thousand pounds of steel you should be paying attention to the roadway.

Exactly. I don't exactly understand about the traffic light though. The cup of coffee is about the only thing they will ever get me for, but there isn't much traffic in the places that I drive.
