Are rural king tractors yanmars?

Slight correction to point # 4. Above, meant to say NOT have our customers purchase things like rear remotes seaparately. Everything is included in the base tractor.

Thanks for responding. The 2 stores near me now carry tractors. I'm very close to making a decision. The discussion has helped for sure.

Congratulations on winning the TBN Contest. Belated sentiments better than None.

I believe the RK competition is healthy for the industry. If they don't appeal to a specific person, RK is NOT forcing anyone to purchase.

Difficult to argue against the fact that they offer a lot of tractor for the pricing structure, no matter how many wheel lugs are provided.

I looked at RK - a big one opened near me, so the closest place to get a tractor.

When they opened it was great - lots of inventory, help, etc. Been open a couple of months...not so much anymore.

I got a kioti CK3510HST for the same price, give or take $100 from a 'real' full service tractor dealer. Parts? they have them. Service? they have them. Pickup if needed? yep.

RK? half the cashiers can't find the UPC symbols, website says it's in stock employees can't find it anywhere (6 in stock? not like it's the last one).

I like much abotu the place, but locally it's picked up the name ' hillbilly walmart'.

For the heck of it I was doing a comparison of the rk 37 and the Nortrac ?35.

the NT 35 right now is a 16K$ tractor with loader, open station, basic trans.

The rk 37 is a 20K tractor with loader, open cab, basic trans.

the RK has? 2 more hp, and apparently, remotes. both units are 4wd.

The l102 loader for the RK is a 2100# lift to height, while the NT loader is 1460# lift to height.

Of those 2.. I'd go for the RK.. not that I need the remotes.. but the loader specs make we wonder about the frame strength on the tractor and the loader.

AND when that nortrac is in the scrap yard, the RK will still be working!!

Sure sounds like alot of tractor for the price. Im not on the market, but playing devil's advocate.....anything to indicate these RK tractors won't end up like the Cabela's TYM's?

I heard RK used to sell tractors, then quit and started again...so yeah, that was one of my concerns.

TYM should be around, but nearest dealer to me is 2 hours one way. Not willing 'waste' half a day or more to go fetch a part or filter.

One thing in RK’s favor is that they are pricing these to move (at least now — wonder if they will ramp up pricing in the future). Cabelas was pricing their tractors so high you could have bought a Deere. I think the market figured that out, which probably didn’t help sales, and you could always go to a TYM dealer if you wanted the tractor at a more reasonable price. Green/camo paint and the Cabelas name just wasn’t enough to justify a higher price, but hey, they tried.

On a related note, I’d be curious to know what TYM dealers think of this new arrangement. Seems like they are being undercut now.

Nope, not really. My kioti CK3510HST was within $100 of the RK37, and I got free delivery (RK charges). Does RK fill tires?

Our RK was new this past March and they've sold all but 3 of their tractors. But the only tractor dealer within an hour's drive is a mahindra dealer. So not a lot of competition.
