Any Pellet Gunners here?

Ah - what's the difference between a 22 vs an air rifle shooting a 50 grain bullet at 1100 fps. I just can't argue your logic here............

A pellet gun won't work for long. Wild animals are pretty smart. After the first few shots and witnessing their kinfolk die, they will move out of range when they see or hear you. Except for rabbits, they will hold still for a second shot.

I have shot squinnies but it was with a 12 ga. goose gun with a 30" barrel. When they moved out of range I was done shooting.

If you know what a 'squinny' is, you're probably from Des Moines

Pellets have dismal ballistic coefficients. like .002
They shed energy so fast the tails run into their own heads in flight.

Just the ticket around habitation.

I can say that is not true in Vermont.

Chippies, Reds and grays. But they sure repopulate quickly.

I'm leaning towards this Gamo because it is break barrel with a 10 shot rotary clip, pretty cool not having to put a pellet in the barrel every time.

My Gamo single shot .177 has taken quite a few cottontails, pack rats and other pests for a couple of decades. It is still going strong.

That would be nice but I think way above the $100 range if you are looking for cheap.

I did a little test this morning with my pellet gun shooting Crossman flat nosed pellets at a sheet of 1/2" thick plywood. With the Vaseline in the pellet base, it bulged the back side of the plywood, without the Vaseline, there was no apparent damage in the back. So it does make the pellet gun shoot harder. The shots were from about 4 feet distance.

Gamo 1000 fps .177 break barrel

I prefer a .22 caliber because a lot of the .177 guns sonic crack and that pretty much defeats the purpose of having a pellet gun.
