Read post #287..... The road was already in place before the development was established. So the ROW just follows the road at a 50' width. 25' on each side from the road center line. Glad your not my surveyor !

In MI it would be highly unusual for someone to construct a road and file a ROW other then when developing the property.
I have never heard of someone building a road to nowhere for no reason.

Happened to me once, land bought, roads go it, community, easements and covenants show up after x amount of home go up. Don't know if that is legal here anymore.

I would never allow strangers to come on my property and discharge firearms for any reason. First, too many people don't have knowledge or training on safe use of firearms. Second, any errant shot or even a ricochet that causes trouble elsewhere is going to tangle you into a lawsuit. Not my cup of tea.

I would never give them permission and my land is posted mostly because of the mess they leave and legal reasons but I don’t do anything to the violators.

I have to admit I LMAO reading the replies to this message...(no offense)...because it was an accurate statement...

The key is learning to discern when a thread hits the skids and quits being useful to anyone and becomes a message board pacifier of sorts...
