I would call Vrisimo on Monday and ask for a quote for a mower with scoop knives and 2 or 4 pneumatic caster wheels to better manage your conditions and prevent excess wear on the rear roller and it.

Problem is $... but yeah, can’t hurt if there’s used mowers available.

Another option would be the old JD25A/ new JD290 model with 7 foot cut.
They come up for sale on tractor house or iron planet and other sites.
Checking with the local green dealers within 150 mile radius for a used machine will not hurt either. I would grab a copy of tractor house first-both issues and check the pages before I started calling the JD dealers to save you some time on the phone if you can find a used one in British Columbia, Oregon, Idaho or California. Parts are always available and can be purchased from flail master and clean cutter out of California.
The one thing I do not like about the new JD Flail mowers coming out of Mexico is the sealed rotor bearings but that is easily changed with a few minutes work.
Please keep us posted about the search when you have time.
