Went to Tractor Supply today and looked at the boom poles they had. Which turns out to be only one. Advertised on-line as a HD Countyline for $299. But saw a sticker on the side that said Tarter. Not going to argue with him since the HD Tarter on-line goes for around $365 plus shipping. I used it when I got home with no trouble at all. I do need a better setup as far as chains or straps go. But it's going to be about 95 degrees with a heat index of over 100 tomorrow so I don't see me outside all that much.

Looks like a good one...I use mine all the time...can see what I'm doing much better than trying to use the loader without a spotter...

A hydraulic top link makes a boom pole like a mini crane...but the best thing I did to mine was add a receiver ball so I can haul my trailer without removing the BP...
...I can drop the trailer and use the boom to load it then just pick it back up and I'm off...

A "safety Police" observation.

Your pulling forces, should you do more than just lifting, are going to be high up on the tractor which is the receipt for a flip over backwards.

You have a roll bar so use it and the seat belt. Consider adding wheelie bars like drag cars use.

You will, find endless uses for it.

Tarter & King Kutter make some or most of the TSC impliments. They rebrand them as CountyLine, but lots of manuals & stuff have the OEM designations & stuff in them. Not sure if it's a regional thing or time thing when their various contracts have come & gone.

Not saying it's a bad thing at all, just a thing.

Hey, that's cool. Hadn't seen one of those before. Thanks for posting.

Wish I had one designed like the OP. Mine won't fit the QH that was bought later. Thus, I try to use the FEL after all.

Why is it better to use a boom pole vs the loader with chain hooks?

Also if I'm using the loader with chains for picking or dragging something uphill backwards that weighs a lot, the back tires might come off the ground and that is not good.
