Maybe time for a new truck.

I can point you to at least 20 documented cases of 04 and 05 Ram 3500s with over a million miles on them, all pulling heavy goosenecks.
Fun fact...the odometer will stop counting at 999,999. Have to replace the instrument cluster to replace to odometer.

I bet that’s comforting to the op who has a low mile nearly rusted out truck.

Are you stuck on a Dodge?

The better question is he stuck on a 3500. Stepping up to a 4500 with a flatbed that preferably dumps makes the truck way more useful. I’ve got a 3500 dump which is a really useful truck but the Chevy 3500HD, Ford F-450, Dodge 4500 with 19.5 wheels are way more capable trucks.

Id consider a chevy/GMC.

Dont want a dump with a GN....plus, I have a dump trailer anyway.

Just a flat bed.....or what would be even better would be a utility bed if one could be equipped and not interfere with a GN.

But browsing used....I am at the mercy of what the market has to offer

Oh please, the OP has a 13/14 year old truck that lives in a harsher environment (road salt, etc.) than some. Find a comparable Ford, Chevy, Kubota or JD and let's take a look.

I never claimed that another brand of truck would be better. I said the op probably doesn’t care that the dodge will go a million miles.

Why not a dump bed with a hole cut in it and the GN ball still mounted to the frame?

With a Dodge 3500 cab and chassis he can do both without the bigger tires :).

Do both of what? The heavier series trucks need the 19.5s because regular 16s can’t take it.
