If I purchase the materials at the local Kubota dealer and do it myself, an engine oil change with filter runs around $100. A transmission oil change with filters runs around $400. Are there discount retailers out there selling Kubota apporved oils and filters?

IMHO,why do folks who purchase a $20,000-$40,000 tractor then try to cheap out on oil filters.Why not support your local dealer who sold you the tractor?Just curious??

I buy Kubota filters. They are expensive, but nowhere near the cost of an engine rebuild. I bought my 3301 intending for it to be my last tractor. Check out Messick's videos on the subject, keeping in mind that they are biased toward the filters they are selling. Hydraulic; NAPA VS KUBOTA (hydraulic oil filters) - What's inside??? - YouTube, and oil;
Napa Filters VS Kubota Filters - Do you need OEM filters? - YouTube
Then again, maybe I just like wasting money.

Thanks JP.. I'll keep using OEM materials but thought there might be a discount supplier out there I didn't know about.

If the filter has been out there for any length of time you can www the part number stamped on the case and get good replies. I shop ebay for filters. Just bought hyd filters for my 3910 and 6530 just this week.

I’ve never bought a filter or oil or belt online. I don’t see how I’m ruining the economy by buying at the Napa store or the dealer across the road. Has anyone ruined anything with the right but different brand filter? That issue seems on the same page as drilling a hole in the ROPS. The closest thing to an issue I’ve had is someone put an engine oil filter on the HST filter place in my F series Kubota. It severally limited the transmission power. after I got it fixed there seems to be no damage. My family has used pretty much solely Napa parts since my grandpa owned the place 30 years ago. We could afford an engine rebuild that’s never happened with all the money saved.

The money not spent at Kubota is spent at the local diner, the theater, the ice cream shop, the grocery, the beauty parlor (barber shop), the corn stand ... but I understand your point.
