KL6010 loader showing off again

Still impressed by what this loader can do. Not a huge tree and no idea what it weighs, but had no issue lifting whole thing off ground. Tree was fallen over but some of root ball was still in ground. Had no problem plucking that out either.

Keeping my chain on the bar while turning this into bite sized pieces afterwards with chainsaw was a different story...but the Kioti did its part

I have the same tractor and can say that the loader will lift the back end right off the ground if you do not have a counterweight on the back. That loader is one strong unit.

Just be aware that it is dangerous to lift back wheels. The front axle pivots on trunions so the whole tractor can roll over without the lateral stability provided by the rear wheels.

I am well aware of that issue. That was why I mentioned having a counterweight on the back of the tractor. It is not good practice to put that kind of weight or load onto the front end of your tractor. A search on these forums will show the damage that can be done to the front bearings with heavy weight usage of the loader.

All true but I was more referring to grievous body injury and/or hydro-locked engine.

I guess that I rarely think about bodily injury too much because I have had several tractors with loaders over the past 40 years. I have never seen or heard of hydro-locking a tractor by lifting the rear wheels off the ground.

My thought on a hydro-locked motor is when the motor blows a head gasket and the cylinder fills with water. This happens with boats all the time with blown head gaskets or leaking exhaust manifolds. I have never heard this terminology used on a tractor.

If a tractor rolls over on its side engine oil can enter the cylinders via the crankcase vent to the intake manifold. The incompressible oil will stop that piston dead on the next compression stroke (hydrolock). If the engine is running (especially at high power) it will be damaged.
