Front end goes out again!!!

We had a erector set when I was growing up, what a GREAT learning tool for a kid!

Long ago, someone once called MY tractor, a Tinker Toy Tractor and it kinda stuck... lol I can see on this site, if you say that, some folks have to put their fingers in their ears, hum real loud and RUN for their "safe space"...

Pretty funny for sure! lol

Another insult. I don't need a "safe space," never have. I just don't care for folks with no manners.

What if I started calling you a "Loghead"? Pretty funny, for sure! LOL

Anyhow, done with this, and you, Sir. You have a good evening.

What's a space space???

You can call me anything you want, I just don't have such "thin skin"...

I'm having a great evening, I got my work done today, the ball game is on and I'm hanging on some forums... I may even have some pop corn later on...

Seems like this thread went in the wrong direction. Common sense to some isn't so common. Should a guy be able to haul some material with FEL without grenading his front end. Yea but if you are talking a full bucket with the back tires not making slight contact with the ground then its time for ballast. It spreads the weight more evenly and its safer. Like your body. You can't keep neglecting it and expect it to last forever. Take my father for instance. Picking up wood that doesn't need to be picked and placed on the splitter. Just doing too much heavy lifting has really knocked his body down as he ages. Farmers are known for this physicality and doing whatever it takes to get something done even if it strains the back, shoulder, or arm. You can't keep doing it or eventually something breaks or doesn't perform well. A tractor isn't much different. You keep abusing it and not helping it out then yea she will break down.

As i said before we aren't there watching this dude operate his tractor. Maybe he is foolishly operating it or maybe he does have POS.

aint that the truth.
But if one takes the time to learn how to lift with ones legs not with their back much of the injury can be avoided. Tractoring is the same, learn the proper way to handle loads and she will last forever. Today everyone wants to slam on the gas then slam on the brakes going 90 in between. The picture that came into my head when i first read this thread was of someone treating their tractor the same way.

I come to same conclusion as well. I grew up on a farm and the tractors back then rarely had 4 wheel drive. You spent hours preparing your fields or harvesting them with much smaller tractors. A guy on here asked about how people get a bucket of material from a pile. I think a lot of guys probably spin there tires making holes. So on the next trip to the pile they essentially have pot holes to contend with. If you lay your bucket flat on the ground, go into the pile while curling your bucket and for moment stop curling do this while you raise the FEL. You will get a good load in the bucket without making pot holes. Operators should know you don't need so much material in the bucket that it spills out as you go to ur location to dump material. Will you have to make some extra trips surely but thats the fun part. You are on your tractor longer. Its a win win

I can get a spilling over bucket full in the tractor without much issue. The wheels might slip a little but it’s certainly not digging holes. In the CTL I can push dirt over the back of the bucket if I feel like it. With the tractor it takes some experience to get a good scoop. The CTL has enough power you can take a full scoop however you want.

Exactly. So why come on here and insult hobby tractors? Bless you, you may find it funny but my momma taught me it isn't polite to make fun of other people's stuff, especially folks you don't know well. Especially when whatever it is, you've got the bigger or better one. A guy with a BMW who insults my little Chevy, around here we call that being a jerk.

He/she just dosen't understand that small does not mean they're toys, they are capable of doing serious work and more capable at some jobs than the big boys. Try digging a trench between a rock wall and a barn with a big boy...no way...but the little guys just eat the job up without blinking an eye.

the little guy has neither the weight or the traction to do what you ask. Your comparing apples to watermelons. Apples to apples and watermelons to watermelons would be a valid comparison wouldn't you say?

I don't see how any of the recent discussion relates to the tendency of MF 4WD tractors to break their front ends, though..

your right. I did a lot of internet searching and could find nothing that indicated this to be an MF problem did you?

it IS an MF problem if they make an update to the front end, the OP has posted enough info to prove this is an originally a BAD DESIGN.. searching on Google for exact results in this case requires exact, and varying, search terms, which can vary greatly depending on the poster!..
