Those are great little tractors! I miss my 1710!

There are several drain plugs along the bottom of the transmission/rear axle that you have to pull to get all the fluid. If the tractor sets outside when it rains you will get water in around the shift boots straight into the trans/axle. Our simple fix was to set a 5 gallon bucket over the shifters. It stopped the water getting in.

That's probably what happened, they had it sitting outside after moving it from their property. Thanks for the info on the drain plugs.

These are great tractors! I saw somebody said they are tanks. Thats a fact. The parts are high but that being said all tractor parts are
